Lots o’ free eats in the near future. Matter of fact I have decided my actual on my bday dindin shall be Sonny’s. YUM!

My sweetie is home, and he was very disappointed in the bike show. Turns out it was a fund-raiser (nothing wrong with that) and votes were $1 each, no limits. The guys who “won” essentially bought their trophy. On the plus side, he got some nice comments about his bike. With luck, the show here in town next month will be better.
Higgs is glad to have her daddy back home. So am I.
And yes, I’m jealous. There wasn’t enough time during my last trek to FL to have any Sonny’s, dammit.
Sorry the bike show as a disappointment for FCD. Here’s hopin’ the local show will be a better one. Yay for the good comments on the bike! That’s the thing that could be the best, as word of mouth is some of the best advertisement there is.

Got the retinapathist out of the way until October. Voting (early) iis done and a small change to the auto and renter’s insurance made. Went to a meet up in the city this morning, the big farmer’s market and spent a little time at a piano bar where a friend was performing. I’s tahred!
It’s raining!! And from the looks of the weather radar, there will be lots of rain. Fortunately, it isn’t too heavy - Higgs went out without a fuss. Good thing **FCD **came home last night - riding in rain can be painful - droplets hurt at highway speeds.
He’s still abed, and when he finally drags himself out, we’re going for breakfast in Leonardtown, just because. Beyond that, I don’t know what we’ll do today.
Our cable bill has gone up - AGAIN - so I’m looking into satellite TV. Since we’ve lived here, the cable company has taken away a bunch of channels while raising the rates. And of the channels that remain, there are far too many that we don’t watch - how many shopping channels does one need?? Plus all the music channels - I don’t think we’ve ever listened to any. So we’ll see if DirecTV will work for us. I don’t know if all the surrounding trees will be an issue.
I may just crawl back into bed, just because. I’m still kinda tired.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, purtification for deheathenization needs to commence.
Back in the late '90’s there was a morning show called Kenny & Wilson on the radio station I listened to all the time (106.5 out of Charlotte). Starting at the beginning of July all the way to Labor Day they gave up on the weather forecast. It was always “hot, chance of rain.”
This forecast is good all over the state of North Carolina, even in the mountains. Only the degree of heat is different.

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated Luterun style. OYKW has managed to drag himself out of bed and is about to finish up purtifyin’. Then, we’re gonna head over to Sonny’s for an earlyish N.O.L. After that he’s goin’ to his place to get some laundry and stuff done, poor thing. I am allowin’ him to eat courtesy of my gift card.
It’s 75 degrees out with a projected high of 88, cloudy and looks icky out.
I had a nice dinner at my friends house, fajitas for dinner and I got a doggie bag as well. So it will be fajitas for lunch today.
Poor Sah-dog, I forgot to put medicine in his ear yesterday so he’s all itchy today.
I did remember to be out of the dining room before 10 this morning, so I was out of the line of fire before Joel Olsteen came on. However, I put myself in the in the line of fire because sometimes I don’t keep my mouth shut when I should.
Family fed, kitten medicated, various correspondences responded to and filed. Now I’m just hanging out and trying to get motivated to get some irk done.
I watched a film last night about a couple whose marriage hits trouble when the wife gives up drinking. You’ll be pleased to hear that I watched it with wine to hand so there’s absolutely no chance of me giving that up any time soon.
Naturally wine consumption meant a late night and a later morning, and a largely unproductive day. I have helped put up a curtain pole in the room where my 'pooter is, so now I have curtains again - very necessary since it’s hot and the sun shines right in here all afternoon.
I also found sufficient motivation to do an half-hour workout and I’m now running a bath because, well, it’s just necessary.
