Changing your look for the MMP

I’m bored today, so I should irk but irk bores me too when it isn’t irritating me.

I ordered some new stuff for the dogs ears and it smells horrible. I’m sure it will be good for his ears, it’s a soothing cream that dries to a powder so it should ::crossing fingers:: clear up his infection for good. He seemed happy when I put it in his ear, even though he saw me coming with the bottle and made me chase him halfway across the house.
Now to try to get his nails trimmed.

I really need to start laundry. It’s only one load, just a few pairs of shorts, some t-shirts and two towels. It’s hardly worth doing except I need clean shirts.

I have consumed N.O.L. and feel better now. Irritation is also somewhat abated as I finally got my point across and got things done right. Rah.

Happy Anniversary Blue!

Yeller, it’s interesting to find evidence of your ancestor’s talents and interests. I found cut outs of horses, cows and pigs that my granny had made simply by taking a pair of scissors to a newspaper and cutting away anything that didn’t look like a farm animal. :stuck_out_tongue: She used to do them to entertain bored kids and grandkids. They were in a box of photos and memorabilia that I inherited.

Happy anniversary, Blue!

I’m hoping it will be a happy anniversary. My husband just called from work to tell me he’s leaving to go to a doctor because he’s having chest pains.

Yikes. Tell him that’s not what you wanted as an anniversary present.
Seriously - sending positive and healing vibes.

also blurf. Yes I just woke up. Nature was a bitch again last night.

Blue yikes! Prayers and good thoughts headed out for hubby. Hope everything’s ok.

Tonight is pizza night at VBS. Thus, no cookin’ but we will make sallit (like a buncha rugrats are gonna dive into sallit), iced tea, and lemonade.

And sorta on topic for the OP, I need to buy pants. It’s time. I hate buyin’ pants. I also hate buyin’ shoes. I do however lurve shoppin’ for shirts.

Today’s irony concerns George Harrison.

Good thoughts headed to {{{Blue}}} - I’m sure all will be fine.

I’ve got 6 tea towels stenciled and drying. The paint has to cure for 3 days, then I can iron on the strips that say “St. Mary’s County, Md” and deliver them to the store in time for the weekend. I should have done them yesterday, dammit. But they’re done.

Supper will be sketties. Or maybe the tortellini I bought yesterday drenched in my homemade sketty sauce. Decisions, decisions…

I laughed. I’ll have to show that to my coworker Afternoon Blonde when I next see her. She’s a huge George Harrison fangirl.

I did some yoga yesterday for the first time in ages. My upper arms are sore today. But at least my back’s not as kinked up as it was.

Am I here? Do I have all of my parts?

I can quite honestly say that I do not recommend cross-country moves as a hobby. Mainly, it was the movers that loused things up - they came to load earlier than planned, which put us into a panic to get things finished, and they delivered three days later than planned, which left us twiddling our thumbs in an empty house with little more than us, two dogs and two camp chairs.

They also broke a china cabinet, gouged my desk, crushed boxes and came within about two millimeters of shattering a box full of crystal stemware. Some sort of divine magic kept the toner where it belonged when a knucklehead picked up the printer and flipped it upside down. The estimator kept stressing how they’re not responsible for things that we packed, but amazingly enough, the things I packed came through just fine. It was all the stuff we left for them to handle that got beat up.

My husband came back from the doctor’s. They said they didn’t see anything but his bp is too high. So they told him to reduce the junk food and see if that helps then come back in a month. We’re going to go out tomorrow. I am relieved. He’s a good man and I love him.

Great news, Blue!!

And on that note, I’m going to assume the recline position. MWAH!!

The lengths some guys will go to when forgetting to get an anniversary gift. :o
Seriously, hope he’s okay.
I was cutting tile. I was white. I got rinsed off with the hose outside. I was back to Caucasian. I air dried off & was back to (partially) white again. :smack:

gotti welcome back! Stay after 'em to make good on all the stuff they broke.

Blue yay for hubby bein’ ok.

Spidey are you back to your original color yet?

Howdy from da cave! I have survived day three of VBS. Tomorrow is the big cookout and pool party. Yours truly shall be grillmeister. Burgers shall be the order of the day.

And on that note, I shall go surf a couple things on teh intartoobz and then go beddy bye. I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I worked. We had doughnuts. I came home ,stopped and bought beerverages(since all y’all newbies forgot your offerings!:p) I’m making mesquite chicken thighs with paprika rice and some spicy green beans.

Glad hubby’s OK, Blue, and Happy Anniversary!

“Instant Karma’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you’re gonna be dead”

I can’t do yoga, I have pets.

Yeller, pretty cool. I’m the creative one in the family. Future generations may shake ttheir heads.

swampy, I don’t mind shopping for clothes, because I know exactly what I’m buying, and hit the racks and go. Shopping for Hawaiian shirts is a pleasure, though.

Update: Judging by the twitching and whimpering, Gordie is now dreaming about Sean’s ex-wife.

Glad your hubbyis ok blue!

Got half the bulletin board done tonight. The rest of the week will be out and about, so it will have to be f inished this weekend (likely when there is laundry in the dryer).

Night y’all.

Weather guy on the news last night was talking about how much daylight we’ve lost since the summer solstice. He didn’t have to say a word - I can tell. Usta be there was plenty of light at 5AM. Now there isn’t. I don’t notice so much in the evening since I’m usually in the TV-watchin’ position and the adjacent blinds are closed. But much as I hate the summer heat, I love the long daylight hours. Winter is too dark - I can’t imagine living farther up north where it’s even darker for longer.

Anyway, my day has begun (thanks, Higgs :stuck_out_tongue: ) and I’m breakfasting. Today’s biggest plan is our 2:30 meeting with our financial adviser. He’s gotten FCD’s annuity contract back and we need to go over the details. Plus there’s a question about some stocks **FCD **has from his NASA gig and I want to find out about drawing from our IRA. For any of you young 'uns out there - honest-to-goodness, it’s never to soon to start tucking away for retirement. It comes so fast and it costs so much more than you think it will. I look back at some decisions we made and I’m so aggravated at us. Oh well, not too much we can do now… dammit.

Other than meeting with Dave, it’s just another day in paradise. I may do a load of laundry. I’ll thaw something for supper. The usual excitement.

Happy Wednesday! Send chocolate!!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin with a predicted high of 93 for the day and very little chance of rain. Thus it looks like the kiddies will have their VBS pool party and general mayhem event tonight. I’ll be the one flippin’ burgers. That’s my task for this evenin’.

I have decided to order pants on line. This may be a big mistake, but I know the size and length I need so I shall make the attempt.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I need to make a quick trip to the east forty this mornin’ but it won’t take long. On the plus side I can leave from da cave, so I have some goof off time.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

What is the cost of living for a homeless wino?
