Changing your look for the MMP

I managed to walk up two, count 'em, two flights of steps getting to the orifice today.

About passed out at the top, but I did it anyway…
Blurf.

Philly airport is the worst. I’ve had to change planes there a couple of times over the years, and it’s always down to the last minute when it comes from getting to the gate I need. And we have people from Connecticut who fly down here a couple of times a year, and if they are going to get delayed, it happens in Philly.

The last time I went up to Connecticut for work, I drove. It took nine hours, but I still got there faster than folks who flew in from North Carolina. They got delayed in … wait for it … Philadelphia.

In other news, an SUV came tumbling towards me yesterday on the way home. That was exciting.

Bob - it sounds like you’re doing more exercising than me. But then again, most coffee tables get more exercise than me.

lucky “wicked pissed” would be the mild form of the rage I would be feelin’ now if that were me. Here’s hopin’ mom makes it out of there soonest. That is way beyond bizarre and acceptable to me.

MOOOOOOM glad you’re gettin’ that checked out anyway. Better to know for sure everything’s ok.

BBBobbio yay! The next time it will be even easier. Or not. Who knows. But yay for the accomplishment.

Sean yikes! SUVs should never tumble.

Rockin’ yay! May the temp gig turn into the awesome permanent gig of your dreams soonest.

It’s hawt and hyooooomid out! Made a couple local visits on my way into the orifice this mornin’. Goin’ out again this afternoon. In the meantime I get to set up stuff for next week. Rah.

I had an uncle with the same problem.

Went like that.

Up and caffeinated. It started raining when I took Gordie out, but it stopped when we came back in. I’m off today, so I’m gonna clean the kitchen.

Congrats on the job, and the for the non felinacidal tendencies of Target and Bethany, Rockin.

Sorry about the poison ivy, Mooommm!. Maybe you should napalm the yard and start over?(And definitely get your noggin checked)

BBBobbio, don’t push yourself so hard you end up in the hospital again(not like I listen to post surgical restrictions either.)

Hope you avoid getting stuck in Philly, Jynx.

Sean, SUVs should not tumble. Glad it didn’t mash you.

Happy Thorsday!

Big rain storm just hit. With lightning.

As for the SUV, I was just getting into the turn left lane on a four lane highway (two lanes each way). Apparently there was a small black BMW at the head of the turn lane. He made his turn, cutting off said SUV that was coming towards us from the other direction (SUV was heading East, BMW and me were heading West.) The SUV driver swerved to avoid T-boning the BMW, started fishtailing around, flipped on it’s side and started rolling towards me. I slammed on my brakes, and the SUV came to a stop about 30 yards from my front bumper. A bunch of us got to the SUV, which was on it’s side and considerably shorter at this point, and helped the driver out. He had some cuts from the flying broken glass, and got his shoes knocked off, but otherwise looked to be okay (considering). The BMW had stopped after making his left turn, saw the carnage, and took off. I was never close enough to it to get a license plate, but other witnesses were able to give the police some info, from what I heard.

Today’s off to quite a start. Not sure what the deal was with the bus driver, but she must be a championship-level “passenger ping-pong” player, and we were several minutes AHEAD of schedule getting to the train.

Sean  Glad the SUV driver sounds relatively ok. I hope the BMW driver is tracked down and put in a world of trouble. Dang!

I am amassin’ appointments down in the south forty for next week. There shall be some major road trippin’.

Iffn you do get stuck, give me a shout.

Back from having my head looked at. Good news is it’s not an alien implant and probably not brain cancer. She did suggest I go to a dermatologist, but she said I could wait till after I get back, so I shall. In case they decide to excise it, I don’t want to go cruising with a hunk o’hair missing from around my face.

I lack motivation. I may just crochet the afternoon away.

N.O.L. has been consumed. A pasta sallit with chikin, angel hair pasta, black and green olives, cukes, ‘maters, and Eyetalian dressin’. Not too shabby for sump’n I threw together from stuff in da fridge. Well, the pasta was not in da fridge. I did cook that. Still, not too shabby!

I have a comfort food need, so tonight’s dindin shall be salmon patties, smashed N.O.T., English peas, and bizkits. OYKW was all too happy when I told him I was whompin’ this up as this is one of his favorite meals. This is southern U.S.of A. style comfort food.

Tell him to get some walking in and be real short on the salt. There are always meds but trust me. meds have their own issues.

Tomorrow we’re off to a couple amusement parks and next weekend a couple more including Family Day at Knoebels. Anyone wanting to be an honorary member of my family that Friday, PM me --------- but be warned that among that crew I’m the shy quiet and backward one. That Saturday we’ll be doing a highspeed visit to Sylvan Beach in New York. Something in my bones tells me that park may not be long for this world. Shame too – they have some really nice rides and some ghosts; 2 aces in my book.

doggio, what are boozy gummy bears?

swampy, you done flung a cravin’ for salmon patties on me. Guess what’s for supper tomorrow night at casaRed now?

I bowled well enough last night to get out of buying the beer. Even broke 100 both games! :stuck_out_tongue: Tonight I’ll be getting some of my woofy mop trimmed up (not really changing the look much, just tidying it).

More pirate bike pics.
Air filter cover.
Horn cover.

Right side view.

Feel free to look at all the pics - I won’t try to link to them all…

Right now, he’s labeling his round saddle bag like a rum barrel. If only we could find a parrot…

Well, ratfarts. The drafting job I was hoping to get after my cruise has been written up at a much lower rate of pay than I’d originally been told - almost $1K less per month. I told the HR person who contacted me that it wasn’t worth coming out of retirement for that. Their loss.

Cool paint! I’d be tempted to make new saddle bags out of wood looking like sea chests.

**kopek **- he wanted to get a couple of small barrels to mount in place of his plastic round bags, but those suckers are expensive!! Plans were (and may still be) to paint the camper to match and make the cooler (which sits just forward of the camper on the frame) look like a chest. All it takes is $$$!

pssscht The eagle has landed. Repeat the eagle has landed. pssscht

JynsterMom touched down in Boston at 0015 this morning. She and 3 airport buddies rented a car and drove to Bangor arriving at 0530. Whew! No idea where her luggage is though. Shopping spree!!!

ETA Glad you are OKs Sean. That would have freaked me right the heck out!

a HS friend of mine dropped dead at work earlier this week. I am shocked and sad
