Character from a book you just *SWOON* over

Soda pop, Darry and Two Bit from *The Outsiders *.

I was hot for all three of them for three different reasons.

My all time I-wanna-do-him crush goes to Melrose Plant of Martha Grimes books. He is silly, sarcastic and incredibly intelligent. OH MAN!

Number two is Marius the vampire… I dunno… he just rocks my boat…

I dread to confess I was having naughty thoughts about Joshua in Christopher Moore’s book Lamb the story of Christ as told by his best buddy Biff…

Totally un-literary and kind of weird:
Lestat
On preview I see Krisfer the Cat beat me to the vampire thing.

Nah, Lestat is too in love with HIMSELF!

Marius is… well deep… I like deep men…

God I need to get me a life

The new and improved vampiric David Talbot is sexy as well… just want to upset all that “proper” britishness…

Promiscuously falling deeply in love, or at least in lust, with fictional characters is a longstanding bad habit of mine . . . lessee here . . .

Current longings: Severus Snape of the Harry Potter books (and I’d read him with Alan Rickman’s voice since before he was cast for the movie) and all four hobbits from LoTR (another PHF here!). Oh, and Vlad Taltos from Brust’s “Jhereg” stories. (Am I a total geek or what?)

Past ones: Tommy Janssen from Spider Robinson’s various “Callahan’s” books; Sandre, Duke of Astibar from Guy Gavriel Kay’s Tigana; and, uh, when I was a teenager, Skywise and Rayek from Wendi and Richard Pini’s “Elfquest” series.

mmmmmm . . . Prince Corwin from ‘Nine Princes in Amber’ . . . mmmmmm . . .

'course I believe I would give a considerable chunk of soul for a chance at Vampire Hunter D! (…slurp!)

Another vote for Darcy …Ooo oo Horatio Hornblower

Another vote for Darcy …Ooo oo Horatio Hornblower

sorry for the double post:D

O.O
we are talking about the soloist of “Hellfire” in the disney version of said character’s book, right?

(not that the hunchback of notre dame isn’t the best disney movie ever. no really, it is.)
as for me…
FisherQueen! I totally agree with you re. Sir Percy Blakeney–woo! (esp. the TV Scarlet Pimpernels w/ Richard E. Grant. :D)

And Nicholas Nickleby in book of said name. No contest. siiigh.

And Philip Herriton in Where Angels Fear to Tread by E. M. Forster. Oh god. What a book.

Oh my god. I just had to quote that because. Because SCHMENDRICK! Oh jeez. So, yeah, you’re MY hero. ^O^

i would have to say robby from “on the bright side im now the gf of a sex god.” he’s pretty…shall we say…dreamy

u know, i also favor legolas, but sadly i cannot tell a lie: i have not read the books, and my all but pure love is probably actually for orlando bloom and his kick-ass moves…all tho, im starting to want him to keep his long blonde hair…

Hello all - this is my first post

I had never had a literary crush until I read the third Potter book and met Prof. Lupin. The part where he was sweet and helpful to Neville totally won me over.

Of course, after seeing the movies I now have an even bigger crush on Snape , or rather Alan Rickman, but Lupin was purely from the book.

Roland from The Dark Tower books.

Mine would have to be Laurie from little women and Captain Vimes from the discworld novels

Oh and George from of mice and men

Clea from the Alexandria Quartet.

Yes, yes, yes, to Mr. Darcy. Jane Austin rocks.

Aragorn was hotter in the book.

Legolas was wayyyy hotter in the movie however…mmmm Orlando Bloom why are you too young for me??

Atticus Finch was hotter in the book, but you can’t beat Gregory Peck for eye candy.

I need to read these Outlander books, huh?!?

Another one for Jamie Fraser, Legolas Greenleaf and Severus Snape.

Also Schmendrick is just a sweety, I love him!

For a first in this thread… Masterharper Robinton. Even as an old guy he was cool.

Oh and Joscelin from Kushiel’s Dart/Chosen. I want him as my Perfect Companion. Or perhaps not so perfect
