I always wanted the Grace Jones character from the Conan movie to be some sort of renegade Star Trek captain that Picard would have to go have for some reason.

Captain Josiah Peabody from C.S. Forester’s The Captain from Connecticut and his British captain Horatio Hornblower. They were active in the same period, and during the War of 1812 would have been on opposite sides. It’d be interesting to see one broody, introspective captain facing off another broody, introspective captain. Although Forester would almost certainly have Hornblower win.
And Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes with Professor Challenger, of course. Manly Wade Wellman and his son did this in Sherlock Holmes’ War of the Worlds (which just came back in print), but I would’ve liked to have seen Doyle himself write one.
My secret wish would be to see Jeff Murdoch on Doctor Who.
