I know that the movie has either wrapped or is about to, but I am quite PO’d that there is STILL no sign of adding Archangel to the scene.
He is, IMHO, one of the most kick-arse X Men there are. I’d like to see perhaps Ryan Philippe or Orlando Bloom (aka Legolas the Elf) portray the character.
The Beast, Colossus, Angel (pre-Archangel - the story of Warren becoming Archangel would be a good movie plot in itself), Apocalypse, the Sentinels (done right - 40 foot tall robots!), maybe the occasional wandering superhero from New York City like Spiderman?
According to the cast list on IMDB, we should expect to see (in addition to those appearing in the first movie): Shadowcat, Lady Deathstrike, Jubilee, Colossus, Siryn, Gambit, and Beast.
Now, how much screen time any of them actually get, we’ll have to wait and see.
Yet another vote for Gambit. In my opinion, the comics never did him justice. Since this is several years after the first movie, and Rogue is several years older, they can bring Remy in right in the middle of his thieving - 'scuse me, “t’ieving” - career, and the relationship between them can develop.
I’d also like to see Cable and/or Bishop, but their repsective arrivals necessitate a movie of their own.
Let us pretend that we live in a universe where Spurious George knows someone who knows someone, and has held the script for this upcoming flick in his little monkey hands and read it in the recent past.
If we did live in such a place, then someone who looks a bit like ** Spurious George** might tell us something like:
Nightcrawler : is the major new character introduced in the film, as we know. Lady Deathstrike : is the major secondary villain in the film and plays a major role, although she is never referred to by this name. Iceman, Pyro : appear in the film and have relatively large parts. Shadowcat, Jubilee : appear in the film in passing and have what could be called cameo appearances. Colossus : also appears in passing but uses his powers somewhat impressively. Siryn, Gambit : don’t remember them appearing. If they do, it’s a different draft of the script or they appear only in passing. Beast : appears in the film more than once [pre-transformation as Dr. McCoy, and during/post transformation with blue fur.]
No Emma Frost , no Psylocke , no Banshee , no Angel or Archangel .
There is a multiple-man character, but I can’t remember if they refer to him by name.
That is, if there was such a script that someone had read. Which there isn’t.
