Just a heads up for the numerous fans here. He was scheduled to be on tonight (3/23), but was bumped (understandably) for an interview with the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister. The Kaufman interview has been taped and will be shown later this week.
Rose is on PBS late night if anyone is wondering, I never see promos for his program and was lucky to spot this booking at the start of tonight’s show.
The times I’ve watched Charley Rose interviews, I come away saying–
“son of a bitch, why don’t I watch these more often”
But then I lapse into a period where I don’t do it. Extended period.
Is it just me?
He gets some great interviews. Some of the best. With the least bullshit content, IMHO.
Update
The Kaufman interview will be aired Friday night. No other guests are currently on the schedule for that hour. Rose usually does a decent job of preparation, it should be more than the standard promotional piece done for the commercial networks.
