Charlie Webster blames Romney's loss on Mystery Black People:

First he air-basted the puppy on the roof of his car. Seals in the flavor, doncha know.

I’ve lived in some really small towns. Let’s see, the town I grew up in had 268 people as of the 2000 census. I was a poll worker in a town with 731 people as of the 2000 census. I lived for 16 years in a town with 1500 people. Despite the size of these towns, there were still plenty of people no one knew, yes, even in the town with 268 people.

We need to get Inspector Clouseau on the case!

McCain’s busy.

Oh, wait. He’s Mr. Magoo. Nevermind.

Yeah, probably. I think I was asleep during that part of the news cycle.

Wow… Maine is starting to sound like a seriously uneducated boony. I bet their tourism office is loving all of this stuff being put out there… “Not a angry old white guy? Come to Maine and we’ll call the cops of you and demand to know where you came from!”

Maybe those closed-minded people just don’t realize their neighbors are black. They just voted in a gay black man as one of their members of the Maine House of Representatives, after all. (He’s also an organic farmer who gives away a percentage of their crops too, so I’m pretty sure that would tag him a “socialist.”)

He has a magical hypnotizing smile. That’s why no one notices he’s black or gay or a socialist. He’s just known as Dreamy (well at least to me).

Rich Lady: [into her wristwatch] I’ve got one that can see!

ROTFLMAO

A lovely obscure cult film, I manage to see it every couple of years.

I will fully admit that I live in a town of some 2800 people, and I can say that I have never noticed a black family shopping in the local IGA, nor when up at the town center offices, library or voting - though we do actually have a chinese take out place that opened about 4 years ago.

I would say that people seeing a negro, hispanic or asian intheir whitebread little town simply didn’t see them normally during the year. I know for a fact that since I don’t do anything at any of our schools, I dont see kids of whatever racial background, so I wouldn’t expect to see their parents out voting.Especially since the people in question may shop and work out of our tiny whitebread and rural community.

Ha!

Cool film; never really thought of it as obscure though. (They Live, for those who don’t get the reference)
