I don’t know if it’s common to be jaded by porn, but I do think there’s a sort of winnowing that can look superficially similar. Like, the neophyte finds 17 different types of porn, and pretty much all of them are better than no porn, but eventually he finds that certain types … ah, work better than others. But it’s not a question of being jaded; he didn’t stop liking certain things, he’s just come to realize that he never liked them all that much.
I posit there is nothing subconcious about it.
Then encourage your compatriots to stop bringing up the guys earlier posts in any thread that is remotely tangentially related, all because it offends them so much that some random guy thinks his wife is only average looking.
And that’s the most favorable read I can give of their motivations, seeing as the kid’s brutal honesty is part of his personality disorder. The same brutal honesty the Dope usually loves, but for some reason doesn’t like it when this kid does it.

I agree that some people are bringing up subjects that are off-topic. But I don’t feel it’s my responsibility to police their posts.
The topic is cheating, porn use, and the Coolidge Effect. Covers a lot of ground.
I think the problem is more often that people already have trouble being stimulated by real sex, and therefore turn to porn because it’s the only thing left. They say porn caused the problem because that’s easier on their ego than blaming themselves.
