The other thread died quietly and buried itself. Skimming through it, it seems that most of us were in agreement on Des Moines in late April, so I’m just going to go with that.
I’m setting the date for Saturday, 29 April, in Des Moines. Byron and I, boli, Terry and CatRimbaud all live in the western suburbs (which aren’t really suburbs at all, but that’s another thread), I will see what I can come up with in the way of accomodations in this area for those of you who do not wish to camp out with me or boli.
Check in and let’s get this thing together…I’m always up for hanging out with Dopers.

I received your email, ChrisCTP, and I don’t mind you taking the reins a bit. Considering we’re going to your hometown, and you know where evrything is, it’s just as well. Next time when it’s in Omaha I’ll do the planning.
The date sounds good to me. Ken, Chris, and I will probably get a cheap hotel room nearby since we’d rather not be a bother (and Chris still isn’t sleeping through the night!!).

I will be there(here) in all of my glory, or lack thereof, and am eagerly awaiting meeting some DopeFiends. I have no crash space to offer anyone but Froololly does if anybody so chooses not to spend an ungodly amount on hotel fees. BTW, Froololly is my sister, if you’re wondering why I so generously have given up her house space…she is beside me as I am doing this.
Anyway, I have absolutely nothing else interesting to say about this except…where are we getting together in Des Moines when everybody comes? I know there was talk of The Rocky Horror Picture Show but are there any other plans? I would like to put my vote in for hitting Blues on Grand…

prairie rose? i think that at least most of us have kids of varying ages… i know i still end up with at least one child in bed with me on any 4 nights out of any given week… a 7 & 1/2 mo. old not sleeping through the night really isn’t a big deal!! (you first-time moms… sheesh!)
