Cristi and I have been talking about holding another DoopeFest here in Flint. Is anybody interested again? The only difference will be that it will be held at my house as I have a HUGE backyard. I will, once again, be cooking various goodies on the grill and Mr Persephone and I will try and setup our guitars and whatnot in the backyard again. If interested, please let either myself or Cristi know. We are VERY tentatively looking at September 16th or the 23rd. Anyone coming any great distance is more than welcome to either use my tent or my floor to crash.
Also, I promise to NOT try and light myself on fire with the grill again
Sounds like a good idea. The 23rd would be much better for me because I’m scheduled to work the 16th. Of course, if you have your heart set for the 16th, I can work something out with my employer. They are pretty flexible about changing my schedule around if I want.
We will, of course, do our best to aleviate any problems that come up…

One would think that living in Flint I could make it… I’ll be in Pittsburgh at school. Unless I can help it and find a way back up. (Beg my parents? Sleep with an ex? I’m creative…)
Medea, I emailed you in the hopes that you could make the last one, at my house, but I never heard back from you! I was bummed!
Anyway, I haven’t been on here in a few days, but xploder told me he’d like to host another one at his house. Of course, I love Dopefests, so another one is just fiiiiiine with me!
I set up an email for the last one, at my house, so I’ll just keep that one open (its flintdope@hotmail.com), so anyone interested just let me know, and I’ll get you directions! I kept the ones my husband wrote up, and got an awful lot of compliments on just how great they were, so I’ll send those ones again.
As xploder said, he and Mr. Persephone are going to get together and work up a few tunes to entertain anyone that chooses to show up. When I suggested “Freebird,” Mr. Persephone looked at me like he was just hoping I would spontaneously combust right then and there, and xploder suggested that if I really wanted to hear “Freebird,” I should probably consider investing in some kneepads. So, “Freebird” is out. Anyone else got anything they’d like to hear?

Oh yeah–I’ve got the pictures back from the Dopefest at Persephone’s House. Nothing incriminating. I’m bummed. Once I talk to xploder, I’ll get him to help me set up a page to post them on.
Scotticher, I do know how you feel. The only reason I can attend this one is because it’s only a few miles away! I’d love to go to the next ChiDope fest, but I can’t. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the last one, but that was my last spending splurge.
