So, I remember seeing a music video online somewhere which was like, a weird cross between sci-fi, kung-fu, and westerns, all in the style of a 70’s low-budget feature. Anybody know the video or song I am thinking of?
I kind of have a feeling that this ain’t it, but the first thing I thought of was Tom Petty’s “You Got Lucky”:
Any chance that’s it?
I think it was probably Muse’s Knights of Cydonia .
And I think it was probably Tears of the Black Tiger.
That was awesome.
And I think that Blunt got it, but that everyone should keep guessing, cause the other two were super cool.
May I present the song stylings of …vonHummer!
A great song from a terrific band, and one of my favorite videos ever. I figured this was what the OP meant as well.
Yeah, I knew just from the thread title that it was Muse’s Knights. It’s been linked here a couple times in the past few months. I wasn’t going to post anything because someone already answered and I didn’t have anything to add (except that Muse is awesome). But then Czarcasm had to go and post this:
Gah! That video is creepy.
And what the hell does it have to do with the OP anyways? It’s not sci-fi, kung-fu, western, or 70’s-esque. I mean, it is a music video, but that’s about it.
Sorry-posted to wrong thread.
So, I came up with the greatest idea.
Someone needs to make a Sci-Fi Zombie Noir Kung-Fu Western.
Bonnie Tyler’s video for “Holding Out for a Hero” had a Western theme. Been a while since I;ve seen it so I don’t know how sci-fi it is.
Could use a LITTLE more Kung-Fu, and a lot more noir.
No Kung Fu or sci-fi but Sublime’s Santeria has a western theme.
