Cheneys book comes out and he was right, every one else wrong

So, he’s really putting these new opinions up to some serious scrutiny, then?

I’ve seen it speculated that Bush was so pissed about the whole Valerie Plame affair, and how bad it made him look to the intelligence community (longtime Bush allies), that he wouldn’t pardon Libby as payback to Cheney (though he did get his prison sentence commuted).

Cheney really seems to have believed that he could enact his own agenda while letting Bush take all the political fire, and it seems like he had a degree of freedom to do so up until the Plame thing happened.

Der Trihs:

Funny, he doesn’t look Jewish.

And now Mitt Romney says that he would like to have a VP that is like Dick Cheney.

Really, WTF are these people and what are they thinking? Really, Cheney was nothing better than a Nazi war criminal and the guy that will probably be the candidate for President in the 2012 election wants someone like that as as his VP. We saw what happened the first time. Don’t the guys learn anything from history? These guys are determined to repeat disaster.

Romney was at least suppose to be sane, unlike the others.

I think Huntsman and Thaddeus McCotter are sane.

Calling Cheney a “Nazi war criminal” is really over-the-top silly.

Correct. Cheney was never a Nazi.

Yeah - It’s not like he won’t leave the country for fear that he’d be arrested and extradited to The Hague.

He won’t leave the country because his heart’s barely beating. He’s cowering on death’s door. That makes travel a bit tricky.

It’s ridiculously unlikely to think that any country would seriously consider arresting a former vice president of the United States. The diplomatic ramifications would be horrifying.

Dammit you guys, stop coercing me into defending that asshat!

The things you see when you don’t have a microwave.

Not correct however.

I don’t buy it. I didn’t then, and I don’t now.

Well then it must be wrong. What does Powell know when compared to you?

About some things, a lot more; about other things, a lot less. What’s your point? I don’t find his statement particularly believable.

I do.

Here is another. This one for bribery in Nigeria.
