Kathy Bates should be Catwoman. She’s a very talented actress and could bring a new, entirely unexpected spin to the character. She’s not afraid to do nude scenes, either.

First, let me just say that Cher would make a terrible Selena Kyle… unless Nolan and company changed Selena to be a former diva-like singer.
Second, making Selena Kyle a woman in her 50s/60s when Batman is still late 20s/early 30s is an idiotic move. Batman and Catwoman are supposed to be rivals in all parts of their lives, not cougar and young hero.
And what place would an elderly Catwoman have in the series anyway?

You know, my first reaction was Uh Oh. But then I remembered that I was the one who suggested that the crazy plastic-surgery catlady from New York should play Catwoman. Cher is a 61-year-old plastic surgery victim. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and claim the win here. I predict (since I predicted it, kinda) that it will work beautifully. That Nolan will make it work, and that he must be come kind of frikkin genius if he was thinking along the same lines I was.
That was me. I also suggested Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep, as a crazy old cat lady who smells like cat pee. I think that’s much closer to the Nolan universe than Angelina Jolie would be. I’m encouraged by this development. Nolan has proven he can be trusted with such unexpected choices.

If they did a movie version of The Dark Knight Returns, with a 60 YO Batman coming out of retirement, then yes.
If they want a love interest for a 30 YO Batman then no.

But see, where I think this will work, is that Cher has had so much plastic surgery that she will be extremely convincing as a delusional woman who THINKS she’s the hottest kitten on the block, but is actually a monster.
