Chicago Area Dopers - Ellis Paul on 4/22?

Anyone want to go to an Ellis Paul show on Thursday night at Schuba’s with me? I love to see him live, but don’t have anyone to go with. My sister moved out of state and my friends are all still married and not interested in going out on a Thursday. I refuse to sit around and wait for life to happen. So I am asking - anyone got nothing better to do and feel like getting out?

He is a singer songwriter and his style is called “urban folk” or “modern folk” music. It is usually just him and his guitar. Here is a link to a page that has some sound bytes link . I’ll pay for the ticket - no strings. Just someone to talk to who appreciates original music. I am a 32 year old female - I can email you more info about me if you’re at all interested.

I don’t have any plans for Thursday, and it would do me good to get out of the house. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic, and from what I heard on your link this sounds like something I might enjoy. I’ve never been to Schuba’s but I’m familiar with the neighborhod (in fact, last Saturday I had dinner at the Flattop Grill across the street from it).
