Chicago style - citing Web sites

Anyone familiar with Chicago style for

(1) Citing material from a traditionally published source whose text is made available on a Web site – in other words, a book or article plus a Web address

(2) Citing material from an article that has the characteristics of a traditionally published source: title, author, publisher, etc., but whose text if found only on, or primarily on, a Web site

(3) Citing material from a Web site and the material is not really in traditional article form. It’s just a page on a Web site and can look like an article or a blog post.

Thanks!

FWIW every Wikipedia article has a link “Cite this page” in the sidebar, giving citation text in various formats, among them Chicago style.

See sections 17.142 and following in the 15th edition. Generally the URL is cited following the normal biblio info as follows. http://www.example.com (accessed March 29, 2008).

See Chicago-Style Citation Quick Guide for examples.

Thanks!
