Finally, someone with some common sense has decided to reveal what is actually contained in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets.
Will this bring an end to the fearmongering “health experts”, the e-mail chain letters, and frivolous law suits? Sadly…No!

Do I want to actually find out what’s in these delicious morsels?

My God, it’s full of stars!
I prefer Chicken Fingers. At least they are made from a fillet piece of breast. We make them at home sometimes.
McNuggets are a mixture of dark & white meat pressed together.
Not according to the article linked in the OP. It says:
Do you have a counter-cite?
But the burgers still contain worms, right?
It kinda bothers me that the article mentions Latreasa Goodman as it does. From what I read, what really set her off was the dumb cluck inside took her money, then told her they didn’t have them, then refused to giver her a refund. While I don’t really agree with the approach, I can see her frustration.
Somewhere on the 'net I saw a joke diagram that depicted Mcnuggets as actually being bio-engineered creatures grown on a farm (complete with adult male and female, and larval stage). Unfortunately, I can’t find it.
I’m not sure why the author chose to preface his article with the two relatively unrelated news stories. It pertained more to the NY state teenagers’ lawsuit metioned briefly later.
I thought it was cardboard filler.
Jaime Oliver demonstrates how the McNuggets are produced. Not for the weak constitution!
He did the same thing here, except with kids in the US. The difference is hilarious.
Kinda makes me proud to be an American. We ain’t disgusted by nuthin’
That’s not how they’re made. He even admits it in the second video.
Only my taste buds. It looks like there is dark meat in there and even some veins. I don’t like dark meat. Veins gross me out.
I’ll accept what the article says. But, I’m sticking with chicken fingers made with unprocessed breast fillet.
Go with your taste buds, aceplace57! Taste is subjective and we all have different preferences.
I rarely eat Chicken McNuggets because I prefer dark meat. When we have fried chicken at home, I’m the one grabbing the dark meat and letting everyone else squabble over the breasts.
Jamie Oliver made chicken nuggets by basically running chicken (bones and all) through a food processor, then straining the resultant mush through a sieve*. He’d then bread them and fry them. The kids were disgusted by the mush, but once fried, they loved them.
McDonalds adds some bleach to the recipe to make it look like white meat.
*To prove the point that the raw ingredients were very unappetizing.
Even if they were, is this a bad thing? If they had an all dark-meat chicken nugget, I’d be right on it.
Ahhh… here we go. Clicking the link Anatomy of a Chicken McNugget will illustrate how they’re really made.
Then can I have your share of dark meat? Because that’s the stuff I prefer. It’s quite frustrating how American food culture seems obsessed with white meat chicken.
Though I’m with you - I prefer minimal processing. I much prefer using chicken thighs and drumstick that are recognizable as such and not re-engineered.
Me too!
Though to be fair, it ain’t like we invented it (see; forcemeat and pressed duck for starts).
We learned it from you Europe!
CMC fnord!
Good stuff Sparky!
“Stubborn yet easy to capture, the male fertilizes his mate with a yellow ichor (reffered to by McDonalds Corp as “Hot Mustard”).” LMAO
