What do you dip your McNuggets in?

Bad grammar and vague double entendre aside, what is your preferred dipping sauce for your Chicken Nuggets or Fingers or tenders etc.?

BBQ is my most common choice but my favorite is McDonald’s Sweet & Sour. I love the stuff. I don’t just dip chicken into it but my fries and burgers too. I have found recipes online that are supposed to replicate it but they never taste the same. If they bottled it I would buy it.

So what’s yours (don’t say ketchup because that’s wrong and gross)?

Good, ol’ fashioned BBQ Sauce. Can’t go wrong with the classics.

I wouldn’t buy bottled McDs BBQ but it does the job for McNuggets. Sometimes they have temporary sauces, I think they had a decent sriracha?

I just eat them plain, as I don’t like any of the sauces. I wish they just had a plain hot sauce a la Franks or Texas Pete’s or something. (ETA: actually, looking online, I forgot they had a hot mustard. Maybe I’ll try that next time.)

Hot mustard or creamy buffalo

When I was young, honey. Now, BBQ sauce.

BBQ sauce, there is no other acceptable choice

3 packets - BBQ sauce, Sweet & Sour, and Hot Mustard. Alternate, until sated.

Like the OP, I also dip my cheeseburger in S&S sauce. Delish!

When you all say Hot Mustard, are you talking about McDonald’s Hot Mustard or some other brand?

As far as I know, McDonald’s discontinued their Hot Mustard years ago and has not brought it back. This is seriously one of the reasons I don’t eat there as much as I used to. Not a boycott or anything - just one less draw for me.

I don’t see it on their nutrition page: http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/usnutritionexchange/nutritionfacts.pdf

They have a Honey Mustard, which IMHO pales in comparison.

I loved their Hot Mustard and would even put it on their breakfast sandwiches. At one of their restaurants a couple of their workers at the drive-thru would recognize me and give me some Hot Mustard (at breakfast) without me having to ask.

Have they brought it back in select markets or something?

Off-brand hot mustard. A much better stand we frequent (The Hat) have huge bins of condiment packets, so we make it a point to snag a few hot mustard sachets every time we eat there to get us through the McDonalds periods.

If we’re talking actual McNuggets, the only reason I’d ever get them is for the nostalgia factor, so then I’d have to have the BBQ sauce,

From KFC, I like their “Finger Lickin’ Good™” sauce and their honey mustard.

At DQ, I like that they serve gravy for dipping the chicken fingers (and fries!) in.

If I’m at home, it’ll probably be Sweet Baby Ray’s, though I’m willing to experiment.

[INDIAN ACCENT] Curry, but of course. And with my fries, too!

BBQ was my default for many years. They did a Sweet Chile a few years ago (as a tie-in with their Olympic sponsorship, IIRC), which I liked a lot, but it was a limited-time thing.

Their (relatively) new Buffalo isn’t terribly hot by Buffalo chicken standards, but it’s what I use now.

Buffalo

I use their original hot mustard. That is my favorite individual item at McDonald’s and the only reason I ever got chicken McNuggets or even went there in the first place. I know they discontinued it a few years ago but there were some serious protests and they brought it back in at least some locations. I know I got it as a side for a Grilled Chicken Sandwich less than a year ago in suburban Massachusetts because I was thrilled that they still had it.

Discontinuing their own hot mustard sauce has to be one of their worst business decisions ever. One of the main reasons that I stopped going there except very rarely is because they tried to kill it off and finding it again are hot-and-miss now. If I need good tasting burgers or almost anything else besides french fries, there are much better choices next door but there is no replacement for McDonald’s Hot Mustard sauce.

At my age, the water in the toilet. :frowning:

Honey mustard. But when I was a kid, I’d dip my McNuggets in straight honey – too bad they don’t give it out anymore. And I don’t use honey nearly enough to go and buy it for the rare times I go to McDonalds.

BBQ and sometimes Sweet&Sour. A friend likes to get a Frostie to dip hers in when we hit Wendy’s.

Hot mustard! I also use that for my fries

Sounds like you could use one of these:
