I’m buying everyone a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from McDonald’s.
What sauce(s) do you want?

None for me thanks. I have much better stuff in the 'fridge and if you’re forcing me to eat at McD’s I’ll just take 'em plain, maybe hit 'em with a little black pepper.
I love their “Tangy Barbeque” sauce, and they never give you enough (I like to use a lot). And the self-serve sauce is always either out, or missing, or effed up in some way. I’ve tried finding a commercial sauce that tastes like theirs, but nothing I’ve ever tried quite matches.
I like the Sweet N Sour for a change, but theirs is just okay. If I’m at home I’ll use leftover duck sauce packs from Chinese takeout.
Well, since some of them still have zero votes, I’m guessing 7e42 hasn’t weighed in yet.
I will say that McNuggets, and their sauces, are definitely a second choice after Wendys’. For me.
Pure honey, though I think they stopped selling that. Plain ketchup, too.
Of McDonalds’ sauces, honey mustard. But the real best thing for them is Cleveland ballpark mustard (which also happens to be the best thing for a hot dog).
Traditionally, we got honey. I didn’t even know there were other options for the longest time, other than ketchup. I think I started transitioning towards barbecue sauce before I got to the point where I stopped liking dipping anything into sauces.
Since then I’ve run into how amazing honey mustard is, which completely surprised me since I hate mustard. But I’ve never had it with Chicken McNuggets, and, unless McDonald’s comes out with some grilled chicken nuggets or something like that, I never will.
Why all these questions?! I can’t take it!
I alternate the BBQ and Honey mustard, but my daughter will swipe a least half of them so I have to give some love to her Ranch.
The last option in the list reminds me of the segment where Jamie Oliver showed a bunch of American kids what exactly goes into a chicken nugget and, even though they were all disgusted by what they saw, when he offered them the final product, they all wanted it. Every single kid in the segment.
Honey mustard and honey. I’m not ashamed.
“They take all the little parts, and cram it into one big part.”
“Fused.”
Now I want some McNuggets!
I think they stopped offering Hot Mustard, at least out here. Of course, knowing McDonald’s, that could just be a marketing test - see how many people complain. They need constant validation of their self-worth, you know.
I have bad news guys. The last time I asked for Hot Mustard, maybe a month ago, they told me it was discontinued.
It depends on my mood, but I’m a big fan of getting both real honey and the BBQ and doing a double dip, where I coat it in honey first and then go for the bbq dunk. It’s like a kind of magic.
BBQ and Sweet & Sour for me. Alternating dips makes a nice contrast.
It’s still available here. I know because some people I know who don’t like any sauce will get it and then give the honey away.
I don’t think it’s listed anywhere, though.
Where’s here? I have’t seen it in New England or New York area in ages. Definitely envious!
We have real honey available in the Chicago area still.
My two teens opted for the easiest summer job this year and both work at McDonalds.
Last night we were talking about the number of sauce packets they hand out and they can only give you 1 for a 4 piece and 2 for a 10 piece. We imagine they get a lot of complaints but they said they would acquiesce depending on your attitude to throw another one in, other than that, you’d have to speak to the shift manager.
How precious does sauce have to be??
p.s we still have hot mustard here, that was my vote, and I LOVE it with fries, however, I do not eat at mcdonalds anymore
Last time I had nuggets I got the sweet chili and sweet and sour and both were good. Go to though are tangy bbq and honey mustard.
OT, but what makes me hungry for McNuggets is the exec on Breaking Bad sampling all the potential sauces for Los Pollos Hermanos.
I thought those were tater tots.
