Best commercial imitations of McDonalds chicken McNuggets sauces

I like sweet n sour, hot mustard & honey mustard the best. However I know there are several more varieties (BBQ, etc).

So I was under the impression you can’t buy the exact same product commercially. Is that true? If so, what products taste the closest?

I have tried Ken’s Steakhouse honey mustard and I think that is the closest imitation to honey mustard I’ve tried. However I haven’t found anything like their sweet n sour sauce. What do other people buy?

FWIW, sweet n sour sauce goes great with cheeseburgers as well as mcnuggets.

According to this, it’s either eight or nine (depending if you count honey).

Apparently something similar was asked 7 years ago.

There are some good ideas in that thread. Two home recipes, Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce, Hickory Farm Sweet & Sour, Maggi Sweet Chile Sauce.

I will try some of those, but today I found something else that is extremely close. Taste Pleasers Gourmet Sweet & Sour sauce. It is very close. Sadly it doesn’t come in bottles, only those 1oz packets. They go for $25 plus S&H for 100. If I could find a store that stocks them that wouldn’t be bad priced.

QFT. I also second Ken’s as a substitute honey mustard sauce. Not too sweet. with just the right balance of flavors.

The Chili’s restaurant honey mustard dressing in 1989 was the following:

2 parts Miracle Whip
1 part Grey Poupon
1 part Honey

Whisk to combine into a homogenous mixture.
