chili

apparently, the world’s hottest chili is now the Naga Jolokia, found in Assam. It reportedly replaces the Mexican Red Savina Habanero. 855,000 Scoville units v. 577,000 for the habanero. Drink plenty of milk afterwards!

Just an observation, but shouldn’t this be in MPSIMS?

Elapsed time between the discovery of the Naga Jolokia and the use of “Naga Jolokia” as the name of a salsa band?

Moving to MPSIMS . . . though this IS interesting.

Yeah, But is it hotter than the Guatemalan insanity pepper?
(I just wanted to be the first person to post a Simpsons reference for once).

Uh, folks, not to be a culinary tightass but you mean the world’s hottest ***chile.

Chili*** is the famed stew that includes chilis, (usually) meat of some kind, (often) beans, and (sometimes) tomatoes.

but you already knew that and you were just seeing if I was paying attention, I’m sure.

To add to Cheffie’s comment’s

It’s pronounced “cheelay” not chili

Anyone up for some salsa?

If you ask a true Texan, If you know beans about chili, you know chili aint got no beans. Just my 2 cents

BTW that chile sounds mighty tasty. Where can I get one?

North-east India, from the articles on BBC Radio 4. Can’t wait for it to get into a chicken vindaloo.

Apparently the Indian military is thinking of using the Jolokia in pepper spray. OUCH!
