I think these are reasonable points actually, even though I think rereading the thread could lead to a different and more accurate interpretation. The question is who initiated the attack.
If you hit me with a club or a bat and I shoot you in self defense I’m probably not going to be charged.
Now the dude who drove the car into those people when he didn’t have to should be charged with murder and whatever else the state thinks is relevant.
But the initial melee? I don’t know who started the physical violence and if someone has good video of what initiated it I’d be glad to give it a look. Otherwise, I’ll let the state review the evidence and press charges as the state deems proper.
What I won’t do is try and convict people on the internet. Sorry, I’m not part of your self-righteous mob. I’ll tell you this though. You’d much rather have me on a jury if you are charged with something than your irrational, overly emotional, dim-witted message board friends.

There is nothing cowardly about my stance on any of that.
As a matter of fact, whenever I participate in a thread about law enforcement abuse or perversions of justice such as civil forfeiture I consistently am on the side of respecting people’s civil rights.

It was bad when the wrong driver got doxxed after the Charlottesville attack. It was bad when Kyle Quinn got doxxed. It isn’t just the person who you are doxxing that gets hurt. Its the collateral damage: when innocent parents, children, family, schools, workplaces have to put up with threatening phone calls and get driven off the internet. I have no sympathy for nazis. But just as Trump is rightly being called a hypocrite for not calling out the white supremacists when he campaigned on using the words “radical islamic terror” we are hypocrites if endorse doxxing “approved targets.”

Hey, if that person gets sued for the damage he did by mis-identifying someone, I don’t have a lot of sympathy. Its called Defamation of Character. Like with firearms, one of the strict rules is to be aware of your target. You make damned sure of your target before you pull the trigger.
And frankly, anyone threatening or harassing the families of these people should be charged as well. Their families did nothing to deserve it.
But I’ll still say that every damned one of these Nazis should be publicly identified. If the ones who were threatening that synagogue were identified for all the world to see, I don’t think there would be quite so many willing to do it the next time.
