Choose my race-day t-shirt!

Hello all. I am running in one of the races affiliated with the Suntrust Marathon in Richmond, VA on 11/11. Not quite ready for the 26.2 miler yet!

I am trying to find a t-shirt to wear. As some of you may know, I am a social justice Christian, meaning I feel Jesus calls us to struggle on behalf of the hungry/oppressed/suffering.

One I was considering said “Jesus was homeless”. Another simply says “Love your enemy”.

Another simply says “I love you!”.

Maybe just a picture of Gahndi?

I am not into the sappy or corny Christian tees you see with Jesus bench pressing a cross or something like that. And I don’t want one that takes a corporate logo and twists it to be a christian slogan.

Any ideas?

Personally, I favor items with simple, straightforward messages. I like the “Love your enemies” and Ghandi options…

Two ideas:

I made my husband a t-shirt that said, “Jesus was a liberal.”

And I had a bumper sticker (stolen off my door at work!) that said, “Peace, justice, and equality are moral values.”

OK. Choose a “Race day” T-shirt.

I first read this as “Choose a race” day T-shirt. I was expecting a somewhat different discussion.
