Has anyone noticed that there is a serious lack of good t-shirt sites on the web? I’m looking for a simple Gadsden flag t-shirt. Just a yellow shirt with the coiled snake that says “Don’t tread on me” and all I can come up with is crap like this. And this isn’t the first time I haven’t been able to find a shirt that seems like it would be easy to find. I never did find my Ruthless Records t-shirt. What’s the deal with this? Something should be done, I want a DTOM shirt damnit!
On a related sidebar, am I the only one who thinks that a lot of the post-terrorist-attack T-shirts are just ugly? Not in an “I can’t bear to look at this” sort of way, but just a general “Ew, it’s a velvet Elvis” tacky kitsch style…?
I came up with an (IMO) idea for a sort of “memorial” t-shirt for the bombings of September 11. It’s a simple enough design if you know the languages, simply the caption “September 11, 2001 - We will never forget”
Written in English, Arabic, and Farsi (with the date translated to the corresponding date in the Islamic calendar).
If anyone wants to print some up, I’d be willing to buy one.
Hell, I’d do it myself if I knew Arabic and Farsi.
Troubled by a lack of good T-shirt designs? Do what I did:
Create/scan your own artwork, go to CafePress (a search should have no prob finding it; I’m not sure whether I can post a semi-advertising link here), upload the artwork, and they’ll make the shirt for you and send it to you!
It’s cheering me up immeasurably, I can tell you.
Of course, I’m puerile, so what do I know?
[aside]Maeglin, you EgoSearching bastard, if you’re wondering, the red wine stain came right out, too. I just realized I’d forgotten to tell you.[/aside]
I’ve seen the shirt in Hot Topic, a store at the mall for goths, punks, and rockers. I love that place. The employees are always so sweet and helpful (100% serious)!
You can buy iron-in transfer paper for your ink-jet printer at hobby stores. Note that the paper is transparent, so you should plan on using this with very light colored t-shirts only.
