I really really want to find a shirt that says “Got backflip?”
on it, kinda like those “got milk” commercials but decidedly more fun. My nephew is into BMX and says he has seen them, but I checked the two ride shops here in tiny Palm Springs and no luck. Also tried a search on the Internet, lots of BMX and motocross clothing but not that particular T-shirt.
Damn. I looked for quite awhile and couldn’t find much. I’m a real t-shirt kinda guy too. Not that I wear them all day every day, I more collect them. I think I have about 300 t-shirts.
Here’s a t-shirt search engine. The navigation is kinda funky, but at least it keeps you in the t-shirt realm.
Crap-ola! I saw a vendor at the Oakland flea market selling those in navy blue weeks ago, along with various other “Got (whatever)” stuff (I bought Creepy Girl a “Got Wine” apron).
It’s always catch-as-catch-can at the Oaktown flea market, but I’ll keep my eyes open. What size you after?
You can buy paper that goes in your printer to make an iron-on transfer for your shirt, or, if you’re artistic, you can buy fabric paint and just paint it on.
Sometimes you can find these places where you flip through a book of iron on’s and choose the iron on and the shirt you want to put it on. Maybe check to see if there is someplace like that around where you are.
One of my fave shirts came from there, it says evil in calligraphy with a bright rainbow right above it. (Though friends insist it says ebil and thus it is my ebil shirt)
(disclaimer: I have no financial ties to this website. All I know is I have done business with them and I have been very impressed with the quality of their wares. YMMV)
I always get XL shirts, just in case they shrink with washing and drying. Plus I like 'em to be a bit roomy. If you see them again and you have the $, I would certainly appreciate it. I could send you a “PS I (heart) u” shirt from Palm Springs, if you like. Or cold hard cash, which is probably a better option.
Thanks for the T-shirt shopper site, ccwaterback. That is one cool place, and I anticipate spending a few hours browsing and coveting more than a few new shirts.
