Chris Rock has his first new special in many years on Netflix and it is really funny. I had missed the gossip that he was divorced so that segment really surprised me. He was open and honest about blame.
There was a little bit of “Kids these days” attitude that older comedians like Rock and Seinfeld seem to have but even that material was funny and not entirely off base. Did anyone else watch?
I’ve been reading reviews which have been solidly good. But I am not sure I will find time to watch it based on who else in the family will join me.
As I was reading about it a few days ago, I saw that there are write-ups on Pop Culture sites “the top 9 jokes in Tambourine” etc. Oy!
It was OK.
I laughed at the part where he said, “George Bush was so bad, people actually said, ‘Hey, maybe this Black guy has the answers for us.’ Who we gonna get after Trump? Jesus?”
