'Chrismahanukwanzakah' commercial appreciation thread

I saw it last night on Comedy Central, but I have to pay more attention to it.

The Jehovah’s Witness site cited is actually an ex-JW site.

Well, the first line of the song is “It’s OK if you’re a Muslim…”

Mehitabel:

But does the word “tannenbaum” have any religious connotation to begin with?

You see, I want to promote the idea that the Holiday Season is multi-facted, with people free to celebrate “Christ Mass” and Chanuka seperately, but with a number of unifying elements. There’s no reason non-Christians shouldn’t be able to put up a tannenbaum in their house, but we’ll have to stop calling them Christmas trees.

I also enjoy the lacklustre singing, which must be deliberate.

For some reason I am unable to hear or read the word “Tannenbaum” without associating it with Hitler. Thank you, South Park.

Although my family is Muslim, we celebrated Christmas last year. It was nice. The top of the tree even looked like a mosque’s dome.

Not this year, though (for a variety of reasons, none of which are religious).
