Christian Bale arrested for assaulting his mother and sister!

We also don’t know how many times he’s given them money in the past, or anything about their history. If I was suddenly struck wealthy, there are certainly relatives – my mother included – that I would probably set up with sort of nanny financial advisor accounts to make certain they weren’t spending money ridiculously. And that’s without possible drug or alcohol addiction in the mix, if that’s an issue.

BREAKING NEWS: His mother now claims Christian gave her a baleful stare.

Got a million of 'em! None any good, but I got a million…

Sir Rhosis

Entertainment Tonight just reported that the cops were called because Bale “needed to be taught a lesson”. It’s sounding more and more like he’d be well shut of the harpies.

Surely he considers the whole event a dark night indeed. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if some joker called the cops on me just to drive me batty.

Really? Where did you hear that from? curious

It was in one of the stories linked here.

You can get half credit for when he was making “The Machinist” though.

His wife is 4 years older than he is, and it appears that Momma (and possibly his sisters) are no big fans of hers.

On a strategic basis to confront someone with a large cash gift request when they are at their most vulnerable in a whirlwind of a million other things happening during the premiere is bad form and manipulative at best, but when rebuffed to start in on his fragile marriage and wife probably put it over the top.

100K is a relatively minor sum to him, I’m sure there’s a substantial, long term negative history between him and him mom and sister that would dictate his reaction vs him just being stingy.

It’s not stingy to refuse to give away 100,00 pounds of your hard earned to anyone. No one else is entitled to it or has the right to ask for it besides his wife and kid, even if he was on great terms with his mother and sister. It’s his money and to me, it’s tacky and fucked up for his sister to ask for it in the first place. If my brother had tons of cash there is no way I’d expect him to fork one cent it over; I wouldn’t ask for a hand out and I definitely wouldn’t insult his wife if he didn’t comply with my request. Everything I’ve heard about this story makes his mother and sister sound like presumptuous, pushy golddiggers.

The case has been dropped by UK police.

I’m glad for his sake. I understand that the penalty for verbal assault if he’d been found guilty is a really really stern and scolding look followed by a court order to “Tell your sister and mother that you’re sorry! Now!”
