She’s hot, but any insistence of her latina-ism (definately not a word) is bogus. She’s from Pburgh IIRC. Moreover, if you read the aforementioned Maxim article, you learn that she has no bones about sexual rapport with male groupies.
Prepare for vicious hijacking…
Can a rapper sell out? Redman does some work in that “drrty” song or whatever it is, and yet he’s not considered a “sell out”. To me, this seems like the most vicious possible form of selling out. IMHO though, “selling out” is just a term used by a band’s “old school” elitist fans who refuse to like a band after they get popular. As a result, I think that the more money a band/artist makes, the better, so more power to Redman for “working with” and possibly scroggin’ with Ms. Aguilera. OK, this hijack is over, now back to your regularly scheduled slut-discussin’.
I can understand women dissin’ babes like Aquilera for dressing (and undressing) and acting sexy and grabbing all that male attention so quickly and easily, but I can never understand guys who do it. Don’t you LIKE looking at hot babes?
I don’t dis her for “dressing and acting sexy and grabbing all that male attention.” I simply don’t think she’s attractive. There are PLENTY of hot women out there that I have no problem giving credit to. Christina isn’t really all that pretty. They airbrush the shit out of those pics. Possibly, the guys who are dissing her don’t think she’s a “hot babe.”
Arrgh! An insult to John Cameron Mitchell! Hedwig would beat the shite out of Christina any day, though. Now there’s a bitch fight I’d pay a shiny nickel or two to see!
Christina’s extensions are terribly done, and whoever tossed that haphazard trainwreck onto her head is probably totally freaking overpaid as well. There’s something unattractive about her body as well; maybe I just don’t dig on girls whose hairdo has a larger circumference than her hips.
Hold on just a second. I am not dissing her because she is grabbing male attention. What bothers me is her lack of class. I really don’t want to see pictures of a half naked woman everywhere.
Her outfit at the MTV music video awards seriously made me uncomfortable. It’s like how seeing a guy get kicked in the nuts makes you wince in a kind of sympathetic pain.
Hedwig has the power of ROCK AND ROLL on her side! Now that I think about it, though, I can see Christina singing a version of “Sugar Daddy,” though she might take out the funny and go for pure slut mode…
When a gal’s belt buckle is clearly resting atop her naughty bits, it’s not her classiness guys find attractive. I love the broad expanse of Aguilera’s stomach and hips. Others say they look weird, I think they’re attractive. I agree her hair has an overprocessed look and she wears a leetle too much makeup, but, as a guy, this is like saying you think the detailing on the Ferrari is a little ornate. Point is, it’s a Ferrari.
…I don’t even like guys and I think Christina is a grade-A skank. Wouldn’t touch her with a barge pole.
And as for men not liking her? So all men have to like twigs with way too much make up on? Since when?
I’m sure men DO like looking at hot babes, but not everyone is going to find the same person attractive. And attractive Christina ain’t.
I’m about to throw in a curve – I’d like to see Christina in more clothing because when she’s not doing that obnoxious jazz hand extraneous riff thing, she does have a good voice. A listen to “My Reflection” which is her oldest recording will show that. (As do her live performances – not television, she doesn’t sing live for TV 90% of the time.) In addition, she can dance.
She’s not talentless, though her talent does still need time to mature. (Like Madonna in the pantyhose-headband, three pounds of caked-on black eyeliner days.) A woman with talent doesn’t need to sell herself by looking like a tart.
Of course, Sheryl Crow (whose talent cannot be argued) has recently gone a little tarty, but she’s defended it by saying that if a woman knows that she has talent, screw anyone else’s opinion of her clothing. So there is that argument…
Oh hell, she’s only going to be young once. In ten years, she can wear turtlenecks and bootgrazing skirts and sing serious songs. At 22, she can wear assless pants and sing about getting “dirrty.” It’s the prerogative of youth to make mistakes.
The extent of Crow’s talent can be argued, but not the fact that she has it. Oh, I suppose you COULD argue it, but you’d look real stupid doing it. Feel free.
Aquilera’s pretty good, too. You can argue extent about anyone, but I think Spears and Aquilera both are good dancers and singers.
Well they seem to try to outdo each other so I am waiting for the time of -chaps with no pants
Finally, I will once again be able to attend church and no question will be made of my fashion sensed
