I’d have to disagree with the singing part. I think she’s one of the few among her contemporaries/competitors that actually can sing.
That having been said, it’s a shame that Christina, or her managers as the case may be, have chosen to follow the path to skankdom. She sings well enough and is pretty enough to have succeeded by taking the high road.
Given recent events, mayberrydan may well be correct in stating that she is finished. I for one regret her descent into skankdom because at one point she did have a promising future.
I dunno, I’m as into girl parts as the next red-blooded hetero guy, but watching that video was like an ice-cold shower that still left me feeling dirty afterwards. It’s like the exact opposite of a turn-on.
Maybe I’ve just seen too much of Miss Aguilera outside of her videos so I’m always conscious of how obnoxious she is – she can wave her pudenda in my face* all she wants, but I’m constantly reminded how she does the diva thing with her hand when she sings, and how she talks like a suburban white girl trying to sound black.

Maybe I’m weird, but I don’t find her sexy or alluring at all. It’s like she’s grown tired of earth-people and is now attempting to appeal to a strictly theoretical type of being.

I used to really respect Christina…I mean, here was a girl who could actually sing and was able to do so and look attractive without being disgusting. Now, I have definately changed my mind. I loved Genie in a Bottle and What a Girl Wants, even Come on Over, but this is getting ridiculous. She needs to cover up. My biggest worry is that impressionable young girls are going to begin dressing like her. Just watching some of the elementary and middle schoolers, their clothing style changes with each new music video. I’m 15, but I do not allow myself to be influenced that much by music videos. However, other people are more easily influenced.
