There was a thread a couple of years ago in which the OP and others requested that Dopers send Christmas cards to their kids who would enjoy getting cards addressed directly to them. Is there any interest in a repeat for this year? I’m sure there are other Doper kids who would get a kick out of their own personal cards from far off places. 
Hmmm. Did something not go well in 2004? I like the idea and would happily participate, even if it is just the two of us.
It was really nice, and my daughter and I both enjoyed it. Count us in to give and receive if it gets off the ground!

I enjoyed the original cards for kids, and wanted to do it again. I usually need a push to send my holiday cards out on time, and this got me motivated, as meeting the deadline for US mail deliveries meant my Canadian cards were well within the pre-Christmas delivery window, *and *I made some children happy! Double win for me.
If someone wants a card from the Netherlands, just e-mail me. MaastrichtSon is still too small to enjoy getting a card, but in a couple years, he going to enjoy receiving cards too.
My son would like to give and receive. He got a big kick out of it last time.

I reckon I can send a few, if anybody wants a card from Qatar. There’s actually a Hallmark store at the mall; maybe they have some interesting seasonal cards.

Would this be easier if it was organized? I can do that instead of us all emailing each other but it would mean that I would be distributing your addresses in list form, if everyone is OK with that.
I am headed to work soon but will check back this afternoon to see what you guys think.
I’d be happy to send cards, just PM me your address. Also, a collective list might not be a bad idea, it would mean everyone would only have to submit their address to one person instead of a bunch of people.

If you want to receive cards I will automatically put you on the email list for those sending them out. However - if you only want to send them out please email me and tell me that so I can add you to the compiled list that will go out.
