Can I ask what the usage of Discourse here means?

Discourse doesn’t like incomplete sentences, or short messages, so sometimes a poster adds some reference to Discourse to satisfy the algorithm.
And when Discourse becomes sentient, it’ll realize how much we’re annoyed by it.

Driving home tonight, not long ago (it was a late night), from a Christmas party at my brother’s in Campbell, I noticed this random house in Saratoga CA. Its light reminded me of that passage from John chapter 1, verses 4b-5.
I don’t know who lives there, but it shines a beautiful light.
