Well, I don’t plan on having a post-party until I reach the 1,000 mark, but it’s always been my tradition to drag out the Christmas movies and albums and have a little anticipatory celebration in July.
There’s chips, dip and Christmas candy on the coffee table, cold drinks in the fridge (and egg-nog if anyone would like to try some – the rum’s in the cabinet next to the sink). The playing cards, poker chips, and board games are in the hall closet, and if anyone has a card-table and folding chairs, drag them out.
[Puts “White Christmas” in the CD player and stands under the mistletoe (actually, it’s a sprig of parsely, but what the heck, it’s July!]
