I’ve never priced it in America, but I’ve had it in Norway and Finland. It tastes like venison, only drier and tougher and gamier. Do not recommend. The cardamon cookies, or bread, or the tarts all sound much better.
(last time i was in Finland i mostly remember how much salmon i ate. But that’s fussier to bring to a pot luck.)
I tried reindeer meat in Norway but it is so expensive here.
Plus I don’t think most people would even try it
I like the bread and cookies as possibilities.
Every suggestion sounds delicious!
I’ve never seen it for sale in the US. But i think there’s an excellent reason that Norway exports a lot of salmon and almost no reindeer. One of those is delicious.
