First of all Friday Night Lights is the best show you’re (probably) not watching. And the reason it survived this year (and was renewed for two more seasons) is that NBC made a deal with DirecTV to air it first there and then on NBC.
Second, I think Knight Rider was at 8pm, Kath & Kim was at 8:30pm and Kings was on Sundays, so their cancellation is not freeing the 10pm timeslot for Leno. (Unless NBC moves its current 10pm shows to the earlier 9pm timeslot.)
As for why Lester is Jewish, remember that there have been Jews in India for over 2,000 years, so it’s not impossible.
I still don’t understand what Leno taking the 10PM slot has to do with Chuck taking the 8PM slot one day/week. Are they going to show Leno Monday’s at 8? MAS*H reruns?
10PM is my bedtime, so I hope they don’t expect me to watch Leno, not that I’ve ever liked him anyway.
Re: Friday Night Lights, I tried to watch it a couple times. It was Yet Another Teen Soap Opera and even worse it involved football. I couldn’t get into it.
Re: The air time of some of the shows up for cancellation. Chuck airs at 8pm so how would cancelling Chuck free air time? Well, the same as any of the other shows up for cancellation, you move other shows up time slots to free up the 10 pm slot.
