Well, I’m not a Cincy Doper (in fact, I once missed Ohio driving to Cincy), but I’m right down I-71 in Louisville, KY. I dig Cincy, though. I mean, from afar. Not that I’d ever live there, you understand.
Mermaid- I live on the East End off of Lefferson Road! What year did you graduate? I graduated in 1984 from MHS. I think I read that you’re a RN, do you work at Middletown Regional? I’m kind of familiar with the area you live in. I don’t go through West Middletown all that often.
I live in Florence, KY. A mere 15 mintues drive from Cincy. Only lived here a little over a year, but I think of it as home now.
Yeah, but it’s still West Chester. I’ve been looking for East Chester for some time and not found it. Is there a Chester somewhere?

Do you watch Enterprise? I do, I can’t help myself. Anyway, when the Enterprise is under attack, they “polarize the hull plating”. All I can think of when they say that is everyone in Engineering rubs their head on the hull to staticize it, like when you rub a balloon to make it stick to the wall.

I worked at MRH for 16 years until I set out for greener pastures. I work at Miami Valley Hospital now and it is a whole nother world.
It looks like we need to have a Middletown Mini Dopefest–just us girls. We could meet at Applebee’s maybe or if you want to wait a while, I hear The Anchor is reopening downtown soon.
If you need a place to stay, I’ve got this apartment up there, and I don’t really need a reason to host a get-together.

That’s so nice of you to offer, but since I’ll be there for the SO’s college reunion (Kenyon, in Mt Vernon), we’ll be staying there. I was hoping I could maybe get outta there for a while, and a Dopefest would have been a perfect occasion. There are any number of complications (okay, two: I don’t drive, and I’m not sure at what events at Kenyon I’m required to smile and nod), though, so unless a get-together just happened to coincide with that weekend, I’m outta luck.
