Hi guys and gals. Been a long time. Just wanted to pop in and see if any of the old CoH/CoV gang was planning on seeing the game off tomorrow night? I’ll probably log in as Max Carnage late tomorrow night. Unfortunately he’s not been used in so long that he was booted from CECIL, so if anyone would like to reinvite him. He was created the day CoH went online and it only seems fitting he be there at the end of it all.
Anyone else going to be there?
I’m going to be on, not sure when. Is there a sunset hour? Midnight EST? I haven’t seen.
Wow, losing CoX is a hard blow. I’m a minor-class gamer, tend to stay with one game for a very long time, and even after almost eight years City hasn’t let me down. I feel like I know Paragon City better than some places on earth. Still can’t understand why they’re insistent on taking it offline instead of perhaps passing it to another operator.

They say they are shutting down the servers at 11:59pm PST Friday night. So I gotta be up until 2am Saturday to say bye bye
I was wondering if they’d set a time, yet. That’ll be near 3AM Eastern for me, but dammit, Shadow Stranger will be there to try and ward off the big blackout with his force bubbles.
I’ll probably bring Johnny Daemon on. No idea if I’ll make it up that late, but I’ll try.
Said goodbye to all my alts. Off to bed. There will be no Paragon City when the sun comes up.
SO bummed. So hard to explain to anyone outside the small community of those who know.
And Virtue server is down an hour early. Wonder if they’ll try to bring it back up. Too bad all my characters on on that one.

And down goes Pinnacle… I decided to ride the game down there, it’s where I had my only hero 50 and is the closest I have to a home server. RIP to a great game.
Virtue out. sigh. Max Carnage went out doing what he loves best. Standing around chatting with other heroes.

Just a thank you message for being a fantastic community, followed shortly by a frozen screen and an error message than I’d been forced off the server. Kinda underwhelming, but hey, at least I was there.
