City of Heroes Super Team FINAL JOINING INFO

Actually, I’ve gotten to where I can sort of survive in Perez Park, I just have to run a lot. I can take a few of the smaller gangs now though.

Unfortunately, last night I got too cocky and tried to run solo in Steel Canyon. Sigh. Almost made it to 12 but have almost a level’s worth of debt now too…

Yeah, my first outing with CECIL, and I die twice in ten minutes, and I think I took Volt Valkrie down with me at one point.

Perez Park looks like it’d be a fun area to hunt in… if you had a LARGE TEAM.

Just wait till you see Boomtown. Makes Perez seem much more reasonable.

Lok

Perez is fun with a big team. Just stay away from the purple Lost bosses.

Had a blast last night playing **Brainiac4 ** with some other low-level folks. Then **Culex ** sidekicked me and we tried some higher-level missions with **Jade ** and **Justice Blues ** and Ryle. We had a mapserver/gameserver issue that resulted in all of us getting booted and the mission resetting. Since it was a timed mission, we had 16 minutes to clear a three-level building of a crapload of Skulls. We failed.

I hate failing.

It was the first time I didn’t finish a timed mission. What did the contact say?

Lok

Allow me to list my characters, mainly for the benefit of Toaster [sub]snicker[/sub]:

Harold Levin, tech blaster dude, who can shoot lightning out of his hands!
The Stone Sentinel, man-shaped earth elemental tanker, who’s made of stone!
Purple Pixie, little mutant controller chick, who can make you think you’re wounded!
And my newest character, Jade O’Neil, who’s a Natural with Super Reflexes and fights with Claws, and, uh, is cool!

Apparently I play girls convincingly enough to make Toaster think I’m really a girl. I suppose Pixie trying to lure Justice Blues into a filing cabinet to “hide from the zombies” might have helped with that impression…

Hey, Justice Blues was willing, just couldn’t get the drawers out. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lok

:stuck_out_tongue: Well consider it a compliment that you can role play girls so well, eh?

And at least I’m not a midget.

Me, well, I’m level 15 now, and INVINCIBLE baby, so long as I got the bubbles. Which only Ryle provides. I try not to freak out about the bubbles. And Jim Beam is my little sidekick whenever possible. Whee.

Y’all feel free to contact me whenever - I’m on way too much, and uh…I like helping low levels do their missions really really fast so you level up well. So long as Ryle is gone and thus I’m bored.

had a good time watching Culex (Toaster) complete a couple of missions for me ( )… it was really humbling to see the damage he can do at lvl 14… he was dispatching the bad guys faster than I could target them… and lord help me if I tried to type something… he’d kill’em all and be gone before I could look up! Ah, well… I’m just a 7, but I’ll be there soon. learned some very helpful play tips, had a lot of fun, defeated a lot of evil, and countered a bunch of ignorance… all around good night, I’d say!

Toaster, I think my mentor (Culex) has a pretty big chip on his shoulder, given that he’s nothing more than an overgrown mosquito with a Ginsu. I think my level brought down the level of the bad guys in last nights adventure. Too many greys for you, and a lot were white for me.

Should be on tonight; won’t be there tomorrow night as I’ll be watching Tampa Bay win me some money by advancing to the Stanley Cup finals. Paragon City will have to go dry for a night. Toaster, if you want to level Megs some, maybe we can do some of Jim’s missions. I also need to find time to level my defender Tinuviel and tank Durak.

Jim Beam
L9 Mutant Scrapper
Martial Arts/Super-Reflexes

Naw, Culex hasn’t got any issues.

Except with bubbles. But I’m not supposed to mention them.

Darn it.

Culex hasn’t got any issues. He just likes reckless slaughter. Or at least, if he does have issues, I’m not gonna tell him. ¬_¬

Oh! Oh! I took pictures. Got some of you other folk in them – if you don’t want 'em displayed, I’ll dump 'em. http://www.culex.us/ig/ch.html I plan on getting more pictures as time goes on, too, so be prepared, mwahaha. Ha.

Regarding pics for the list, do you just want the passport pic like ZM has? Obviously, space is limited without “breaking” the table.

Sundae Girl is a mutant Ice/Ice blaster, by the way. Oh, and Agent Aphid went to that big tomato plant in the sky so he can be removed.

I’ll have to try grouping up some tonight. I got tied up in a solo mission last night and then just needed a break. Stupid zombies.

Oh! And I’ve seen a better cow. Keep your eyes out of Apocolypse Cow. Fantastic costume… well, if you think cow super heroes are fantastic :dubious:

Send me a screenshot of your character’s i.d. I’ll clip out the photo for the table. Any screenshots you’d like shown can be put on the separate pictures page. Of course, I haven’t even taken pictures of my own characters…

Sundae Girl… Ice - Ice
baby…

vanilla

Ice - Ice
baby… sorry.
I know… pretty weak. and since Culex says USAvenger has a “physical Captain America complex”… so I have no room to talk… I was really just making that character as a sort of “tribute” and wasn’t gonna play him much… but it’s so darn fun! I have to get where I can fly, though. A Captain America wannabe poseur that flies!!! too cool.

Well, I’ll probably be signing on shortly, having finally broken down and bought City of Heroes. I’ll have to think of a clever super-name though. Or borrow from a really obscure DC character.

Gonna hit level 10 soon, and I need to pick a new power. I’m debating between Practiced Brawler and Combat Jump. Thunder Kick is a distant third; it would give me a third moderate attack w/ low End cost. Any ideas out there? Toaster (Culex), have you tried Practiced Brawler?

CandidGamera, I’m usually on between 8-10/11pm EST. If you’re on at that time, maybe we could team low levels. I’ve a beginning Radiation/Radiation Defender, plus a slightly more mature Invulnerability/Super Strength tanker. Depending on your build, either one would team well.

If anybody cares I should be on from 1pm PST onward, gonna take a nap. Was up all night removing debt because some bleeping bleepers decided to attack purples with me in their team, there were like, seven, but CULEX WAS THE ONLY MELEE?! Then they yelled at me for attacking, and they all died for it and then so did I because the healer died. Bah.

D_Odds, Practiced Brawler…I got it, but haven’t used it but twice. It seems to be very short duration, and for the monsters I’d use it on (Aberrants), I can’t beat them fast enough. I wish I’d’ve gotten Teleport Friend. I’m fast enough now that I can beat folk to the goal and then I could bring them too. Or the run away, teleport the dead so they can revive schtick. I’d get Combat Jump. Then you’ll be able to jump over more walls, and you can sill-climb too. Thunder Kick I heard is good, too, if you want to bother with something small with a quick animation.

Actually, the name is derived from the Blondie song “Sunday Girl”, which isn’t all that much better

Toaster, the more I think about it, the more I like Combat Jump - mostly for the significantly lower END cost. I wish I could reallocate my earlier enhancement slots to get more slots in END hungry powers, and Practiced Brawler is certainly END hungry. Whichever one I don’t get at 10, I get at 12 anyway - and 14 is reserved for Superspeed!

I won’t be on before Friday, with the Smallville/Enterprise/Angel trifecta this evening and a regular D&D game on Thursdays.

I haven’t looked at all the options yet, but depending on name availability I may end up with a Magic-origin Defender that borders on copyright infringement.

What is the policy on that? I saw before that the CoH officials say no, but that it happens all the time… what are the theoretical penalties? Deletion of character?
