Clearing my stuff – an MMP give-away, sorta

But I know how to use mine better. Look, it bounces!

Drae, might I suggest this care free easy hair style?

Mr. Swamptington Bear, Overthetopgayhairdresser

Ewww. Does your SO know about this?

If only every woman had one of you, there’d never be any disastrous haircuts.

Just be glad I’m not your hairdresser.

He’s bounced it on occasion, too. I keep it at the office, though, so he only gets to bounce it sometimes.
Sean baby, your link isn’t working for me. Unless that was your intention.

Swampy, I have to admit I love Grace Kelly…at least in Conan the Barbarian I did. She made me laugh.

Mika, dear, that’s Grace Jones, not Kelly. Grace Kelly was already street pizza in Monaco by the time the Conan flicks were made.

Grace Jones, every bit as weird as David Bowie…

I’m sorry. I knew that. Weird, isn’t it…? I was thinking Grace Jones and I certainly know the difference!

But think of how much classier Conan might have been with Grace Kelly in it …

Nowhere near as cool, though, Grace Kelly probably couldn’t lift a spear if her life depended on it. I’m sorry, I’m more inclined to watch warrior women than dancing women. I can dance, after all.

Hi! I’m back, did you all miss me? Well, I’ve been here, just not here. All the family is back to being relatively healthy. I just got a treadmill (free, on craigslist), and I start my new, healthier life today. Of course, it may only last until I’m ambushed by pie, but who’s to say?
FCM, I too, would like to see pictures. It sounds like I’ve missed some interesting goings on. So, you’re an engineer, that could explain some things. My husband love to play with the engineers at work. Like the time they showed the “newbie” how to make exploding paper, and had to have the bomb squad save him. There’s a 4’X4’ patch in the parking lot where they left it. And there was that incident with the remote controlled car they “modified” It ran once. Very fast. Very far. Then Hubby had to put out the grass fire.

Taters, and smells, do you notice odors in your dreams? I once had a dream about strawberries that smelled so good, I was disappointed when I woke up and we didn’t have any! Sorry about the migraine, have you asked your doctor about Imitrex™? As long as you don’t have heart disease, it’s a wonder drug.

Spatial Rift 47, Anaamika, don’t make me separate the two of you. And Tupug Anachi, stop encouraging them. Next thing you know, they’ll have rubbers all over the place! Not those kind!

What? There’s nothing in the link but a logo for Tripod web hosts.

As it happens, I went to the USPS site at lunch today, to find out what the boxes cost - what a pleasant surprise! And since most of the ceramics are small, that’ll work great! So the only reimbursement I’ll need is for postage, and maybe some tape and packing paper.

I’ve gotten a number of emails, and a number of those were missing something kinda important - your ADDDRESSES!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, everything I have to send out is small - like the biggest dimension is 4". I don’t remember what I wrote on the description pages, but the pitcher and the coffee mug are claimed, and I’m donating the small casserole dish to an ASPCA fundraiser. For the non-impatient among you, I’ve got 9 more pieces coming in a couple more weeks when I get back to Annapolis to pick them up. I know there’s one more mug, a very small pitcher, and a bowl in that batch - can’t recall what else. Oh, and my daughter claimed the turquoise votive holder.

Since most of you have expressed no preference, I may just pack a bunch of pieces, then stick address labels on them - truly pot luck.

How bad am I that I’m sitting her giggling hysterically at the thought of Grace Kelly in a Conan the Barbarian movie?? heeheeeheeeheeheee… Sorry.

Draelin, your hair does NOT look like dead vines! So hesh.

I’m lucky in that I’m still friends with people I’ve known all my life! We get together once a year, something we just started five or six years ago. But in the intervening years, when most of us were getting married and having kids, some of us were in communication, so nobody ever really got lost. And this guy I dreamt about, Lenny, was one of the group. I was … >< … this close to emailing everyone this morning to tell them I’d “seen” Lenny! (We have a listserv.) How weird is that? I almost told them he was happy. Maybe he is! Anyway, I think I’m not like most people in this regard. My husband, for example, is in touch with no one he went to high school or college with. I think if you still lived in the same town you grew up in, there’s more chance of staying together. Some of our group still lives in the same small town, some of us have moved elsewhere in-state … and one flies in every year from Austin. Other infrequent gatherers are in Iowa.

And for your visualization pleasure … I have another case of Hand, Foot & Mouth disease. Ick, right? I feel like livestock when I get this. It’s relatively common in daycares, which is where I picked it up in the first place, when I was pregnant last and my immunities were lower. Now, whenever I get sick, which admittedly is rare, I get these sores in my mouth. Ouch. Can’t eat. It feels like burned tongue.

But, I’m better today. Just a little tender on the roof of my mouth. Moo.

Maybe Sean has gone all existentialist on us. The blank link is meant to show us that, if he were the hairdresser for any one of us we’d be bald.

Ok, now I am gonna make everyone just so extremely jealous. Ready? I am in possession of a FCM designer original ceramic bowl thingy and a gen-yoo-wine signed picu original painting. My cave makes the Lourve look like one of those roadside places that sells Elvis and Dogs Playing Poker on velvet.

Told y’all you’d be jealous!

Louvre even. The Lourve is a gas station/museum located in downtown Attapulgus, Jawja.

Glad I could entertain.

Another tired Cool Kid reporting in. Sorry I missed morning - Monday mornings are usually hairy for me. Anyway, I woke up about every hour starting at 3 AM last night, and I went to bed late (11:30) the night before, because I was painting.

Got the first coat of actual paint (note to self: add “oil-based primer” to list of things I despise working with) on the hall bathroom cabinets. It’s bee-yoo-tee-ful! A very rich color - kind of cinnamon-y. The mister likes it, too.

We’re having a heck of a time getting the tub door we want from Home Depot. We were told a week ago it was going to be in on Friday. Friday we were told it was due on the next truck. Saturday it wasn’t in yet. Sunday a woman at Home Depot told us the PO was cancelled; none of the other stores in our county have it in stock, either. Mister thinks that it may have been recalled for a defect, and is thinking of bagging it altogether and picking a different one. I’d hate to - we both like this one so much.

I should be done painting bathrooms (woodwork AND walls) by the end of the month, at the very latest. Then it’s on to the bedrooms. At least the woodwork is minimal there - door & window frames and baseboards. Actually, we’ll be tearing out the old baseboards and putting in new ones, so I can paint them before they’re installed (meaning: I can stand in one place instead of scooting around the floor on my hands & increasingly creaky knees - yay!).

But, hey - at least I’m not moving! (Sorry, guys.)

Speaking of dreams, my night was definitely a weird one, but it didn’t get mentioned in the OP since I wrote that up yesterday.

I dreamed I was hanging around with a bunch of Amish people. Except they had a pickup truck. And a TV - but the TV just got one channel - guess that’s what made it Amish. And at one point in the dream, there was a deer lying kinda curled upon the ground, and a goat came over and started eating its hindquarter. And the deer just stayed there. Surreal.

There was also a lot of mud in the dream, and at one point, some old friends of our were building a house near us. That part of the dream upset my husband the most, as he claims he left Jax to get away from these friends! Very bizarre, non-restful night.

OK, boxes are ordered - as soon as they get here, I’ll start sending stuff out.

For those requesting pictures, look here - the albums for the third and fourth classes. All of the earlier stuff is gone. Some of the things from these two are gone or claimed, but if you want to request a specific piece, or a specific color, go ahead - I’ll let you know if I can oblige.

And I’ll post the pics of the last 9 when I get them home.

Don’t forget your addresses!!!

picu, yeah, I smell things too. It’s really weird.

On the headache thingy, the last time I tried talking to a doctor about it, I was very imperiously informed that I do not suffer from migraines.

Hmmm…sensitivity to light…check

Tunnel vision narrowing down to a pin-prick type vision when headache is coming on during waking hours…check

Naseau…check

Sensitivity to noise…check.

They all sound like migraine symptoms to me; but I’m not a doctor. :dubious:

So, I just gave up in disgust. I suffer for a day or two, then move on.

Drae, I think you have lovely hair. Frankly, there are few of us that are happy with our own hair. Mine is extremely thick and heavy. Always has been. I’ve taken to using a flat-iron because if I don’t, my hair becomes all poofy and fluffy. I have a natural wave, which doesn’t help if I just want to dry it and go. I have to dry, then flat-iron. Oh, and Lord help me if there’s humidity in the air.
