Cleveland Browns turnaround bandwagon

Let the Bud Light flow!

Good, the Browns won, hopefully they party too hard and don’t put up much fight next week against the Raiders.

Good for the Browns. I like the idea of them having a decent young QB the franchise can build a team around.

Plus it’s the Bills’ turn anyway to be “that team”.

Social media in Cleveland is lit right now. It’s like we won the super bowl! Lol

Congratulations to the Browns. About time.

Now, per our local radio guy, Sean Pendergast, the Texans are the team in the NFL with the longest span of time since they’ve won a football game (that counts.). https://twitter.com/SeanTPendergast/status/1042983098084782081

306 days, if you were interested. I’m not confident they’ll beat the Giants this week, either.

Jesus, what a difference a few weeks makes.

The Texans better win. I ended up with Miller and their defense!

And (Eagle) Hats Off to the Browns! Fantastic game! Since week one tying Steelers, we knew a win was coming soon! Now who’s the second victim, Señor? I’m sure more are coming.

And by Eagle hats, I mean you had our second sneaky Philly Dilly play down! I call it the BROWINE WOWNIE! (Our bar was cheering like hell hell for Cleveland)

Make the BW T-shirt’s, and congrats on an AWESOME, awesome win! GO BROWNS!

Congratulations, Browns fans. Enjoy it.

Congrats.

Great post interview with Mayfield. Great football all around.

2/2 on field goals and 1/1 on extra points. WOOT!

Brown’s receivers were so excited they forgot to catch few balls on the final TD drive. Landry played well but his chest must hurt from one of the bullets. Defense played well. Good game to back up the solid play against the Steelers and Saints.

Oh my poor, poor, Jets, but Go Browns!

Mayfield looked like a real quarterback.

Good for the Browns and, more importantly, the fans of the Browns. I think I like Mayfield’s media persona (“we’re just getting started” last night and his handling of Colin Cowherd), but I can also see it getting annoying after awhile. Congrats.

A story about the Browns winning a game is currently on the front page of Home - BBC News.

It is world news!

I’ll post more after getting home and rewatching but Mayfield is the guy. You can just see it. Everyone snapped to life when he came in. If he plays the first 2 games the Browns are undefeated. They almost were anyway.

Taylor couldn’t live up to the savvy game manager reputation. I have to assume he’s benched. If Hue is dumb enough to trot him out again that should be an instant firing.

I need to rewatch but I only saw one bad read. Everything else was correct, quick, and on the money. His stat line looks amazing if you add the drops that hit the receivers in the hands. They apparently were not ready for balls with zip.

One more thing. I don’t remember Isiah Crowell being a huge douche, but his TD celebration (wiping his ass with the ball and throwing it into the stands) was both vile and a crappy shot at the Cleveland fanbase. Shitty thing to do. Especially when you average 2.1 yards per carry for the game.

Pun intended?

It’s really more of a double entendre, isn’t it?

What little I saw of Mayfield impressed me. That said, it wouldn’t be unlike Hue to play three card monte with his quarterback selections moving forward.

My condolences. I am not a fan of Miller at all, and I suspect that Foreman and Blue may poach a lot of his carries when Foreman comes off the unable to perform list.

The defense is better, but I’d really like to see them operating in sync for once. They should have annihilated that Titans line, and didn’t. Though Gabbert/Vrabel did compensate by abbreviating his drops and taking long passes out of the playbook. I “hope” they can stop Barkley and Beckham this weekend, but I’ve a lot less faith in that than I did three weeks ago.

Mayfield is going to be a stud, right up until the League gets sufficient tape on him. Then we’ll see how he adjusts. Should be fun for Browns’ fans until that happens though.

Exactly. I hate to see rookie QBs thrown in. Haven’t watched the game yet - taped it - but sounds like Mayfield had a great game. But that’s just one half of one game; I’d be very happy if Taylor came out again for the majority of games, and let Mayfield play a half every now and again, until he’s comfortable. I always go back to Steve Young, Aaron Rogers, and Andrew Luck, two great and one good quarterbacks; I firmly believe that part of the reason they’re so good was getting to learn from Joe Montana, Brett Farve, and Peyton Manning. Not that Tyrod Taylor is another Montana or Manning, but he’s a veteran, and I’d like to see him run interference for Mayfield for a while.
