Josh Gordon is going to be released on Monday.
What? You get rid of Gordon and you get Dez. That’s an upgrade, right?
and most likely their kicker will be gone Monday too.
Go Browns! 2 - 0 already. Woot!!!
against the spread (sigh)
I feel for the kid but this is the NFL.
“You had one j - o - b.”
And, apparently exhausted by clawing their way up to mediocrity, the Browns return to form. They looked OK for a while, there. Unfortunately, they can pack more suck into one quarter than most teams can into a whole season.

Shodan
Why would anyone trade for Gordon after the Browns announced they intend to release him? Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just sign him as a free agent?
If you trade for him, you get him. If you wait for him to be cut, anyone else can get him.
The question is why you’d want him.
Reports are that they are trying out Blair “Wide Left” Walsh who cost the Vikings a wild card game a couple years ago and who single-handedly cost a couple games last year for Seattle (which led to them missing the playoffs for the first time in years). Look luck with that head case!
The Pats are known for giving players second chances. They also known for immediately moving on when those players do not live up to their expectations. It could be a very short marriage.
I’d rather have Dez Bryant.
Maybe Belichick needs a hook-up for weed?
Isn’t recreational marijuana legal in Massachusetts?
Gordon has indeed been traded to the Pats.
Browns have signed Rod Streater, ex of the Raiders and Niners, who was rejected by the Bills after playing with them in pre-season. Good pickup there.
I’ve decided to simply skip over posting about the Josh Gordon thing.
JETS GONNA GET WRECKED
SAM DARNOLD GON DIE
Congratulations to everyone who had Baker Mayfield in the first half of Game 3 in the replacement sweepstakes.
The Browns are feisty, I’ll give them that. I would have happily taken the Jets and laid three.
I don’t know if Taylor was told to fake an injury, but he just wasn’t getting the job done, and you see the whole team light up when Mayfield came in.
Geeze, doesn’t anyone on the Browns want to catch a ball?
I’m not sure what you can tell about a player in one half against the Jets, but there have been worse starts, especially for Browns rookie quarterbacks.
I have to admit, he seems confident, accurate, has a cannon, and is kind of elusive. Not too bad of a combo, really. Im interested to see how things go when a bunch of tape exists.
So if Hue Jackson and the Browns pull out this victory, can we expect a 10 year extension worth about 15 million/year?
Sheesh, even Baker Mayfield is taking a knee, and in his first start! This is outta control.
Who’da’thunk the Browns would finally get the win thanks to a rookie #1 pick quarterback playing almost flawlessly and a stout defense?
