"Click" "Click", AAARRGGHH!!!!!!!

Why ever since I installed ie5 do I get these annoying ‘click’ sounds coming out of my speakers! Whenever I click on a hyperlink and even just sporadically, it is startig to drive me insane. HOW DO I GET RID OF IT ?!?!?!?

From IE5 HELP:

The part that is not intuitively obvious is that when you double-click the Sounds icon, you are not looking at the sounds for the whole system, but the sounds for Windows. (Note the offset Windows icon above the sound prompts for Asterisk, Close Program, Critical Stop, etc.) There are special settings for Explorer, Office, etc.

At a guess, the sound you wnat to turn off is one or both of the “Navigation” sounds under Windows Explorer or else “Select” under Windows. (WAG because I haven’t tried messing with it.)

Ahhh… it worked. An end to the days of the annoying “CLICK!”. Thankyou “tomndebb”.
