I keep hearing mouse clicks without clicking--what gives?

I’m just sitting here, reading, but hear from time to time the sound as if I’ve just clicked on a link. Very annoying.

Running WXP on a FMV DESKPOWER CE9/120SLT.

With IE, you’ll hear that sound whenever a page automatically refreshes or a pop-up ad comes up, not just when you actually click a link.

You can turn it off by following these directions:

Control Panel–>Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices–>Sounds tab–>scroll down to Windows Explorer–>Click Start Navigation–>change setting to “none” in the dropdown menu–>OK.

Mice are trying to communicate with you. They have chosen you :stuck_out_tongue:
