Clinton v Trump - The Stretch Run Thread

Just read the whole thing. He has NO answers for anything. And it doesn’t appear that Trumpy OR his campaign staff understood that the questions were for the candidates, not for representatives. “Mr. Trump” this and “Mr. Trump” that. And still there’s millions of votes going in favor of this shit.

EMWIGMT.

I like Trump’s first answer: If we were willing to pollute the fuck out of our country we could bring our manufacturing costs down low enough to compete with China and Mexico. Yay, Trump has a plan!

Try this:

Wasn’t Ms Conway foisted on the Trump campaign by the GOP backer Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah? That article makes it sound like hiring Ms Conway for women’s outreach was entirely el Trumpo’s idea.

No it doesn’t. It’s entirely about her background and that she was a good hire.

Rachel Maddow has been keeping track. He actually has 3 endorsements from daily newspapers. The first two were over the weekend.

The Santa Barbara News-Press of Santa Barbara, Ca., and the St. Joseph News-Press of St. Joseph, Mo. have declared on their editorial pages that they endorse Donald Trump for President.

The third was a tiny Texas daily yesterday that doesn’t even show up on a Google search. So still no major papers.

Hmmm . . . Trump is “the cream who rises to the top” :dubious:

She is more accomplished and educated than I assumed, thanks for the link. (And now I’m craving blueberries).

Ailes and Trump, no longer speaking.

So is this a major wrench in the works for launching the “Angry White Supremacist” cable channel?

Wow, Ailes sure looks like an overgrown toddler in that pic!

I can’t wait for the Tweet-storm about how Roger Ailes is a loser. It’s a win-win for everyone.

As they say, cream isn’t the only thing that rises to the top.

The Law of the Septic Tank: The biggest turds float highest.

Trump: “We will have to leave borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability.”

Choice quotes from this CNN op-ed “penned” by Trump back in 2013:

NO, I am not making this up!

Even more trouble with Trump Foundation filings with the NY AG

That is exactly my impression. Those were just half-assedly banged out.

Quite honestly, this explanation would not surprise me in the least.

Why can’t it be both nefarious and inept?

Can’t find this defined anywhere.

Here’s CNN’s latest Electoral College projection. Utah is a battleground state now. Jeezopete, Utah!: http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/19/politics/road-to-270-electoral-college-map-5-october/index.html

I think I got it from Uncle Cecil.

Excuse Me While I Grind My Teeth

I laughed my ass off a week ago or so when that was on SNL. She nails KAC even better than she nails HRC.

Agree completely that Trump’s a raging megalomaniac. OED ought to update their next edition to put his pic right there next to the definition.

IIRC Bob Dole had a similar penchant. He’d say stuff like (totally made up example): “People ask Bob Dole what he thinks about interest rates. Bob Dole thinks they’re too high.”

I never thought of him as a megalomaniac. An old and tired mainstream conservative? Sure. A classic public servant in standard mold of the 1960s-1990s? Sure. Megalomaniac? Never.
FYI, wiki surprises me by saying Bob Dole is yet alive at age 93. I’d thought he’d departed for the filibuster eternal some years ago.

Assuming he’s still got his marbles, I wonder what he thinks of this year’s shenanigans. He’s appalled I’m sure.
