Gee, thanks. Although, yanno, within a ‘normal’ capitalistic system, work really does result in the improvement of one’s circumstances. Material/financial circumstances in any case, which, if those circumstances become spectacularly extravagant (which probably requires a lifetime of work from somebody, somewhere), can overcome defects of status and/or character. No, they understand the First Amendment just fine:
Congress shall make no law establishing religion means no Sharia law, or Satanist displays on the public land in front of City Hall. If you can’t be normal, and worship Jesus Christ like the rest of us, get out.
Congress shall make no law interfering with the free exercise of religion means we can make you worship Jesus because that’s how we freely exercise religion. Prayer in school is mandatory, and anyone who doesn’t pray to the flag of Our Christian Nation is expelled at the very least. Also, Darwinism is gone, because seven days means seven days.
Congress shall make no law interfering with the freedom of speech means you P.C. liberals can shut up when we say all those words we’re certain you banned at some point in the 1990s, because that’s when all them comedians started making “Political Correctness” jokes. We can’t point to the laws which actually banned those words, but we’re sure they exist. We’d still be able to tell those jokes otherwise.
It also means you can’t make us uncomfortable with your lifestyle choices or heresies or anything else. We’re not P.C., we just know right from wrong, and we will not tolerate wrong things being said. We’re not offended, though.
Similarly, the right to peacefully assemble applies to normal people doing normal things, as anything else is an assault on Our Christian Nation. We’re still not offended. You can’t offend us. You can make us righteously angry, which is totally not the same feeling.

Honestly - much as I am anti-Trump and I giggle about this, I really don’t care about it that much, even were he a “decent candidate” - stuff like this should make a minimal difference to any campaign at any time. I’m planning to pay off part of my mortgage by my dad selling some of his shares. Turns out, currently the shares are worth less then just Six months ago. The reason? The stockmarket, even the Dutch stock market ,is anxious about a Trump win. If I had to sell now ( which, fortunately, I don’t ) that bastard would have lost me several thousand dollars.

I’ve been obsessively watching CNN, and I haven’t been able to sleep well in weeks. I am terrified that Trump may actually pull this off. I can’t seem to talk sense into any Trump supporter I know. I’m so frustrated.
For me, this is like after 9/11 when almost all I did was watch the news for months, and I became deeply depressed. After this is over I’m not watching ANY news channels for a very long time.
Can anyone tell me something to make me feel better? Anything.
