Second, I believe that Coldie was asking you whether or not you intended the OP to mean that most cases of FGM are faked. I don’t quite see where he was rude to you, so why the ultra-defensive tone in your reply?
Third, Coldie came into the thread to ascertain whether your post was intended to inform people about the issue or whether you intended to spark some discussion/debate about the incident. If it is the former, then no problem. However, if it is the latter, I assume he is considering (and rightly so) moving the thread to GD.
Last, what does this mean, anyway:
I mean, I know that Coldie is a bit off but I’ve never heard of him communicating with his food, especially not to get permission or approval to do something.

My name is Coldfire. I am a moderator in this forum, and therefore I requested clarity as to what your motivation for posting the OP was. This isn’t just my right, it is also my duty in order to maintain a clean and enjoyable forum for all.
My club? What the hell are you talking about, peace? You’re free to post in every forum, as long as the topic of choice fits into it. That wasn’t all that clear in this case. Actually, your choice of words was rather suspect. Hence the question.

I never indicated that your quote from TWP was a problem. I never said there were “forbidden publications”. You, apparently, are the one making things up as you go.

Coldfire, my apologies first: apparently, the screen was too far, I misread and then misspelled your name. I am a rookie here, not yet on the first-name basis with the moderators. Of course, you know the rules better, especially the rules of your forum. Next time, I will post with better explanations. And sorry for my typos.
I was just pissed off by your “…gets one (1) chance” and “But he’d better be quick.” warnings.
The thrust of my post was to show how dangerous it could be, to malign and badmouth this country and its government first crack out of the box, for which that PC liberal crowd is famous for. I myself is far from saying that the government is always right, but that case was a good example to demonstrate their myopic hatred and arrogance. Once in a while they exposed themselves. More pitty, it was the liberal TWP that uncovered the story.
Finally, a question: if a have just good (or bad) news, not necessary likely to cause much discussion, what’s the best forum to post it?. Just to inform teeming millions, where shoud I place it?

Coldfire: September is deceptive; I registered but did not post anything for a month, there was a password problem. And, although I do post much, I have stayed out of trouble with the mods.
Dust, your request to report is nameless. If it’s to me, my OP was about political awkwardness, not about genital modification (mutilation) as such. I am sure, Coldfire is too strict to allow that deviation.

I had every intention of familiarizing myself with the SDMB for a few visits, then carefully and tastefully using this as an opportunity to express my opinions, concerns, or questions, but, God help me, I just can’t hold back!!!

First Peace what is your point? I have read this entire thread and as far as I can tell, you are simply an individual who has a strong dislike of the clitoris! (BTW I personally am very partial to mine.) You also seem to be easily offended by the fact that Coldfire (with a “C” not a “G”) is simply doing his job! Grow up! One thing I have observed while viewing various threads is that if you can’t take the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen!

Yes, I agree, that it was terrible for this woman to pass herself off as a victim in order to remain in the United States. The lengths some people will go to…
However, I don’t think it’s fair to blame the various women’s organizations, Hillary Clinton, et al, for jumping on the “anti-female genital mutilation” bandwagon. They were acting on information received, and IMO it’s no bad thing to raise the public’s awareness of things like this.
I didn’t have the impression that all these groups that oppose female genital mutilation would qualify as “PC liberal”. And I don’t quite follow who you think is “maligning and badmouthing this country”. Demonstrated whose “myopic hatred and arrogance”? Who “exposed themselves”?

Red, I feel that no matter what, this thread comes to clitori (is it correct plural? clitoris is not a paired organ, unlike ova, so I am not sure; I wish you, girls, had plenty; at least, two).
Be as it may: a person lied and commited crime(s) to immigrate to this country. To me it was another illustration of the fact that millions of people around the globe would like to come here. There are not many countries so attractive to others. Immigtation is more than to move to another building. It means to leave the graves behind, etc. It makes me very proud of my country, in the old fashioned sense.
Most of the PC/feminist crowd in this case have more than I do, yet they treat the U.S. Government and its agencies as sworn enemies. Every mishap is blown out of proportion, distorted, etc. The position is always taken on the side of the enemy, regardless. No facts are ever checked. If somebody was denied entrance (legit), for whatever reason* anything becomes equated with political persecution.
I am not saying that the government is always right. Sometimes, it is not even possible to say right away, what is “right”. Doing things on S. Sarandon & Co. level cheapens their cause and unnecessary denigrates them. I wanted to show this case to the teeming millions.
Did I answer all your questions? Yes, Coldfire is good. Yes, you clit is good. Yes, that Ghanian lady clit is good. Crowing about the U.S. first crack out of the box ain’t good.
- If you want, we may discuss what should constitute the basis of polytical asylum, etc. But you got to open a separate thread, according to the rules. This thread is mine and is limited to this case, or PC at the most.

Here in lies your problem. You have issues with the PC/feminist(whoever they are 
). This woman in the story was trying to get into the States by lying. She could have said her life was in danger or she was a political refugee but she went down the FGM road. She was caught.
Either talk about your issues with people entering your country by false means or talk about how you feel about the PC/feminist(still not sure what your talking about here) but to try and link them within this thread just doesn’t gel IMO.

I don’t recall your OP even mentioning that your question/debate was “What constitutes the basis for Political Asylum?”. Your words were understood by myself and others to be merely an attack on various Women’s Rights Organizations, as well as Hillary Clinton, herself. If I was wrong, then I apologise, but I feel that my opinion was related to your OP, and if the MODERATORS felt otherwise, then I am sure they would have been all over it by now.
FWIW, I am a nurse, and I can tell you that there is actually a rare condition known as a “Double Clitoris” in which the female genitalia (SP?) is either blessed or cursed (depending on how you look at it) with two clitoris’, usually one over top of the other. that’s another thread, though, isn’t it, Coldfire?

Red, I tried to make myself clear, I try again. Yes, in general, I do like S. Sarandon in movies, I do not like her policies. I do not like PC crowd in general, and I do not like women lib movement (I think it hurts them more than it helps, at least the way they do it). I did not personally attack Hillarious here, there is a special dedicated thread. I used lady’s clit only to attract attention to my thread, it would be a waste to let it go. After all, a clit (or a threat to loose it) is not often used as a basis for political asylum, you agree? Agrarian reform or something would be less attractive. In general, I am for female genital adulation, against female genital alteration/mutilation. I practice this adulation religiously myself, never miss an occasion to honor a female genital by all means available to me.
Two clitotes are better than one if the nerve sipply is doubled too. Indeed, if the average number on nerve endings is about the same (as I suspect, the case is), it would not offer any advantages. Just a slightly different shape. Considering average clit’s size, what are we talking about?
