No cheating, 4.23 kilometers. Midway Island. I probably could have zoomed the map in closer and got closer.
I tried playing this setting out some rules to myself, with no moving–just looking around a making a guess based solely on the exact location Geoguessr has given me. So far, I’m doing a lot better than I thought I would, usually getting about 2000 points per guess. (Last round I finished with 10343 using my rules. The one I royally screwed up was one in Alaska and I guessed northern Michigan.)
