Literally nothing about this thread has gone well, from the incoherence to the ETA that’s not actually an edit.
That headline struck me this morning too. The article doesn’t illuminate one bit how the election of 1912 explains why Bernie is still running.

Ok, ETA was not an edit, it was an explanation. “explanation to add” and “edited to add”. We need a new acronym for the former. How about FWS - forget what I said, I was rambling.
You get into an argument with your wife, and little things that bother you about her are exaggerated and you say things you don’t really mean, or at least don’t mean as intensely as stated, but once they are out there, you can’t really take them back.
OK then, how about this:If you want to know why we’re still in Afghanistan, look at the War of 1812.
I haven’t read the article, but contrasting Bernie Sanders with Theodore Roosevelt is not something that would occur to me off the top of my head. Biden as William Howard Taft–OK, I might buy that, but Trump as Woodrow Wilson?? Yeah, they’ve both shown a nasty racist streak in them, but Wilson was an educated man (President of Princeton University) which is more than I am willing to say about the present resident of the White House.
So I think I’ll pass on this bit of speculation. Guess they had to get all the spaces filled with something this morning.

What happened in 1912 was two guys from the same party fought each other and both refused to drop out. Both of them lost and the guy from the other party ended up winning the election.
It’s easy to map this same situation out with Sanders, Biden, and Trump filling in the roles but it doesn’t explain why Sanders would want to repeat what happened.
Yeah, that was my take.
