I can drink Coke and even buy one every so often, but I prefer Pepsi. I’m surprised that Coke seems to be more popular.
Mexican Coke is (mostly) still made with Pure Cane Sugar. Easily available in Texas, it’s my choice for a rare treat. I’m not going to blow those calories on something I don’t love & diet sodas are foul. Generally, I’ll go with iced tea for a cooling non-booze drink; not sweetened–sweet tea is not the historical standard here.
Yes, we have Dublin Doctor Pepper; Saint Arnold Root Beer is also found on the “health soda pop shelf.”
Whichever one is cheaper. Last time I went to the store, it was Pepsi.
Huh. That is so outside of my experience - here whenever one brand is on sale, so is the other. ETA that if it is a 2-for or 3-for you can even mix the brands.
I’m from Ontario and so did not vote in the poll, but I will say here that I prefer Diet Pepsi, and Regular Coke. Coke Zero is growing on me, though…
Yeah, where I am one of them is always on sale, perpetually alternating between the two. When one goes off sale, the other goes on, and then back again a week later.
I don’t always drink sodey pop, but when I do, I prefer Diet Coke. Stay jittery, my friends.

I vote Coke but only Canadian Coke. I can only barely tolerate the swill that passes for Coke in the US (but it it still better than Pepsi).
Pepsi tastes like flat coke with more sugar added. Don’t like it at all. Even worse is their diet Pepsi. It tastes like it has soap in it.
Coke from McDonalds. Outside of McDonalds, Coke and Pepsi are equally tasty.
Not in the US but always have a case of diet cans in the trunk, Couldn’t care less what they are, I just buy which ever is on special the day I run out.
yeah, i knew it was made with cane sugar. i don’t know if it’s available around here or not, soda is a rare treat for me due to being a diabetic. i actually had tried it on a different trip to cozumel, bought a bottle in a convenience store somewhere, but wasn’t too impressed. i figured i just preferred corn syrup. then i realized i’d had it in a plastic bottle. having it in a glass bottle made a world of difference.
Coke. I used to be all about Pepsi. Then something happened and now I vastly prefer Coke. I will drink the HFCS or the cane sugar version (I love when the kosher for Passover Coke hits the shelves), but no Diet or anything else. I hate diet sodas.
Pepsi hands down!
I know a guy who was a truck driver for Pepsi. He claimed (circa 1990) that Coke kicks ass over Pepsi everywhere in the country except New England.
I personally prefer Pepsi, but I will gladly have a Coke as a worthy substitute if Pepsi is not available.
I prefer Pepsi but my mom prefers Coke and won’t even drink Pepsi. My husband and his family are all Coke drinkers. Now, I really only have soda when it has rum in it, so that may change things somewhat. I am just not much of a soda drinker.
Coke is necessary to sustain life.
Pepsi is good as a substitute for rat poison.
I rarely drink cola anymore, but when I do it is diet pepsi.
I only drink diet (not because I’m under any illusions of skinniness, I just like the taste better, regular soda is too sweet and heavy tasting) but definitely Coke products. For me, Pepsi is nearly flat, the bubbles in Coke are somehow bigger too (if that’s possible). As far as taste? I mean if both are fairly flat, I still think Coke has a better overall taste.
I don’t drink cola often, but when I do, I prefer Coca-Cola.

I like coke in a can, but I like pepsi better when it is in a bottle. Does anyone else have this preference?
