Coldstone Creamery

Yeah, they are pretty pricey but if it’s a once in a while treat, and it’s a very worthwhile one, then it’s ok to splurge IMHO. My Birthday is in two weeks and I’m going to try one of their cakes. I think the Birthday Batter one is like $25. Not too bad. I’ll let you all know how it is

In a few months I will never be able to eat regular ice cream again (bariatric surgery) so I have been planning a few last splurges…baking my signature cheesecake, making my own marshmallows, etc. Now I guess I’m gonna have to drive all the way over to the East Side (must check to see if my passport is in order) to visit the so far only Cold Stone Creamery in Cleveland, which I never heard of until this thread. See how addictive the stuff is?

I wouldn’t bother. I think its expensive, takes forever to move through the line, and tastes artificial compared to some of the small batch ice cream shops in the Twin Cities (Sebastian Joes, Grand Ole Creamey, Sonny’s). The servings are huge and ours won’t let adults get a kid cup (which is the only size I could eat).

My kids love it though. 'Course, they still think Twinkies are ambrosia.

I guess I shouldn’t mention their Guiness ice cream…which, by the way, is heavenly with ginger snaps in it.

According to my current issue of Budget Living, Coldstone Creamery will be giving out free slices of some decadent looking cake (whose name escapes me) on July 29th as an incentive to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

Just sayin’, is all.

I wonder if they make salt-flavored ice cream, to kill off ice-cream lovin’ zombies. Until they do, however, I have brought back this thread.

A store just opened up near me, in the Canton Can_Company. I loves me some custom mixed ice cream, now.

I know this isn’t CS, but I still want to [del]hijack this thread[/del] ask people thir favorite combos of mixins.

Ask away, but you’ll have to do so in a new thread. This one has been dead for well over a year.
